If there was directions to wash out or if it was a little cheaper it would be worth the money, but having to buy one every 3-4 months at $18 is a little pricey. If only it were about $13.99 or had an option to buy 2 for $25-30. Otherwise, works well for how long it does work. perfect to buy and go to a hotel or something similar.

I get these often and they are usually good but this one didn’t work at all. It doesn’t seem like it even reduces the smoke that just flows straight through. SAD!

This product is a great product! It allows me to smoke without the lingering scent that typically leads to complaints from neighbors (I live in an apartment complex). They’re great at eliminating any smoke and any bit of a lingering scent is very easy to clear up and not strong at all. I smoke daily so on average I’d say they last about a month-month and 1/2. They mask the scent less as the filter begins to go out so it’s pretty easy to tell when it’s time for a replacement. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to smoke indoors without lingering smoke/scent.

When blowing into the smoke buddy it does eliminate the smoke which is its job, at the same time as your smoking smoke still escapes so there’s always still gonna be a smell regardless of if you’re blowing it in there, but it will be less potent.

I usually smoke at home or in the office. My old setup for getting smoke out was to take a rectangular piece of plexiglass and have a cutout in it to fit my little 6 inch desk fan and use it as a window fan. I got one in my office, and one at home. This works, but still fills the room with the smell of burnt tobacco. Just got the smokebuddy and decided to have a long 2hr smoke. What I had was a Gurkha 7x52 cigar. Heres the pros & cons: PROS: - lightweight - small - gets rid of most of the burnt tobacco odor. - comes with caps. Id imagine after using it many times, itd start to smell, the caps will keep the smells contained. CONS: - you need to use your face to make a tight seal on the smokebuddy, or else smoke will leak. - gotta blow hard, as if you are trying to inflate an air mattress with your lungs. - I got really lightheaded after taking a few exhales through the smokebuddy, not even 1/3 of the way into my smoke, and I was quite nauseous from blowing so hard on the smokebuddy to get it to filter out all the smoke. - filter can not be replaced. once its clogged, you need to buy a new one. Thing for the company to improve on: - have an o-ring/gasket on the exhale end aka where you put you mouth in end - have a looser pack of filter material, can be a thicker pack, just not as tight - change the product so itll take exchangeable cartridges, Id rather small packs of filters than $20 smokebuddies one after another. ======= Overall, for the price, its worth the buy. Ill still be using my fan setup because the smokebuddy does not take care of all the smoke, and the occasional leak from not shoving my face against it. Blowing through this thing, is really annoying, and I stopped using it all together half-way into my 7 cigar. I wasnt getting lightheaded from the nicotine, but instead from the smoke filter. It works, but needs improvements.

As an older guy, Im heading into a retirement apartment and since Ive been living in houses for decades, I knew I was going to need to look for something to at least seriously mask the smell of the pungent goods I am used to. Its legal here, but Im not looking to irritate anyone but myself. I read a bunch of reviews first, and settled on trying the Smoke Buddy. I read about some folks trouble as well as its benefits. What I want to share is that the Smoke Body works. Its unbelievable how well it works. Ive now tried the unit with several leafy goods, each more pungent than the previous. No smoke, and no scent. The only trouble I had was not the Buddys fault, but with my not exhaling 100 PCT. into the unit. You really have to be sure you blow out every last bit of smoke into the Buddy for it to be thoroughly effective and produce a completely smokeless, and odorless toke. Along with burning essential oils in an atomizer, there is no longer scent of any kind, though it would certainly be wise to cover your bowl between tokes to ensure you stay scentless, if thats a consideration. Ive read that one potential problem for some would be the size of the mouth piece. You want a truly tight seal to make the unit work, and that mouth piece is a full 1 1/2 inch in diameter. That sounds small, but is larger than it sounds. I havent had it long enough to speak to its longevity. I do recommend reading all the reviews to learn about drying the unit, and its reported longevity. Once again, the Smoke Buddy works. I dont review too often, but the Smoke Buddy gets my vote. Heres an update. Searching online informed that by carefully layering paper toweling into the intake chamber, you can extend the life of your Buddy. Ive done this and with each paper towel change the odor is also removed from the intake chamber. Also after heavy use theres been literally no smell of any kind from the exhaust chamber. Im a fan.

im not going too deep into this. a comparable device can be diy built from a bottle and dryer sheets. I scoffed at that concept until I witnessed it. It did not merely mask the smell, but eliminated any smoke odor. Smoke came out, and I smelled it in awe as it had no smoke smell. Smoke that doesnt smell like smoke. crazy. This is a heartier solution. Its built to last a while, and its worked under very limited use for at least a couple months now. If you indulge in such a way that allows second stream smoke, you will not be pleased. This only filters the smoke you exhale. Pipes can control second stream smoke if you learn to use them with that concept in mind. If you are smoking a paper cigarette, it will likely cut down on odor, but if you are aiming for all or nothing this will not mask your use of substances that produce smoke. If you are consuming paper cigarettes, that is. This is also good for vaping. Vapers will say that vape doesnt need filtering because there is no smell. This is not true. The smell is attenuated but also different and it depends on the vitality of the material you are using. I breathe in through my nose and exhale three times, so that no traces of smoke escape from my lungs nose or pharynx. Inhale through the nose, exhale through the mouth, do not break contact with the device, press solidly into ones lips, and exhale. After 3 exhalations, I cap the mouth side of the device because a nominal odor is present on that side. It is weak, but it is there. In addition to this, if you still produce an odor, a successful technique is to get a skillet and put a teaspoon of olive oil in it and turn the burner on high. Or take an non stick oil spray and coat the burner in an oven and turn in on high. If using the oven be careful that carbon deposits due not catch fire. If they do, a little water will do just fine. This will vaporize the oil which has a very effective attenuative effect on smoke odors. This will not prevent long term odors, but its good in a pinch. It helps if you are known to actually cook, as many forms of cooking involve browning and blackening meats.

The original smokebuddy is a personal smoke filter. Smoke from a cigarette, pipe or the like releases dangerous toxins into the atmosphere. Exhaling through a smokebuddy reduces secondhand smoke and eliminates odor.
