Greater than one weekIve had mine for two years and it still works. I smoke every day, sometimes a few times a day. I only use one-hitters though, so not a lot of smoke is going through these. I threw away the caps when I got it. Theyre useless. The thing needs to be open so it can air out. Your breath has a lot of moisture. I have two regular smoke buddies, and one junior. I love them all. However, I accidentally put my junior one in the washer (yes, the smoke buddy was unusable after this) and it made a mess in my washer, but thats my fault. I love these. They are a bit harder to blow through now that mine is so old, but I just cant afford another one. Thankfully, mine still works.

Greater than one weekSo this thing does exactly what its designed to do. You blow smoke into it, and you cant smell much coming out. Theres still a little smell if youre smoking up in a small room, but thats mostly due to the product itself and not the smoke youre exhaling. Although I did notice after about a month of semi-regular use (a few times a week.) it started getting this really nasty smell. Now lets be honest, thats probably from my own munchie breath blowing into the thing constantly, but I was surprised at how quickly an odor formed. I left the caps off - as some of the other reviews said, but it still formed an odor. Theres really no washing instructions, so I tried spraying a tiny bit of air freshener in there to see if it helped freshen it. (I waited until it was fully dry to use it.) but it still had a weird funk. HOWEVER, It is still filtering smoke just fine. So a month of semi regular use, and it still gets the job done, but has a weird funk. For $11, I feel I got good use out of it.

> 3 dayLiterally my new favorite thing. This is so much better than shoving laundry fabric softeners in a bottle or a paper towel roll haha... This is the real deal. No more lingering smoke to annoy guests, neighbors, or the cat! This guy is smaller than I thought, its about the size of a avocado, which was much better in my opinion. Saw a few comments about it being slippery... What are you trying to use this thing after you just spanked the monkey? Ridiculous...haha. Everything about this product rocks... I cannot attest to how long one lasts, but I will update when I can. So far I plan on getting many more for myself, for the car, different rooms... Also going to be great for gifts. Lots more of these to be purchased for Christmas giveaway this year. ONLY CON TO THIS PRODUCT: it is hard to create a tight seal when putting your lips inside the device. I find that if I dont want odor or smoke, I need to insert the device and create the seal on the outside. This feels and looks quite strange as the opening is fairly large. The only thing I would suggest about this product is to have and optional attachment where the mouthpiece taper more like a funnel for those who do no care about its portability factor. Example being right now I only use in my house, so the extra few inches it might add to the device would not be an issue. Its possible that tapering too much would restrict enough air flow to make it easy to blow through , but something a tad bit smaller on the mouthpiece end would be nice as an optional attachment. Thanks Smoke Buddy!

> 3 dayI can’t say how much this thing is a life saver. I’ve been using oil cause of low odor but resulting in a ruined tolerance. I decided to give this popular “sploof” brand a try and wow I’m impressed. You really can’t tell any smoke happened inside. This little product honestly saved my apartment life. And helped my tolerance. My last Smoke Buddy was the large one and worked super well and lasted forever. I noticed it got difficult to breathe through and then purchased this normal sized blue one. For a $12-$15 item, this really saves much more than that in personal belongings and rental deposits! My guide on how to dupe people that you’re smoke free is to use “snappers” or one-hit bowls. That way, each time you empty the bowl, it shouldn’t be smoking since all the plant matter is burned up in one hit. Empty the bowl and blow into the Smoke Buddy.

> 3 dayCant exhale smoke and let on your smoking? Or smoking around an asthmatic friend? Exhale into this filter to nearly eliminate second hand smoke in the air around you.. I use it indoors when smoking my medical MJ, so my room doesnt smell skunky.. For a daily smoker like myself, this lasts about 6 months..

Greater than one weekWorks well with dry herb vaporizer, and leaves next to no scent. The toughest part was preventing any vapor from escaping around the mouth piece. Ive used this multiple times in a room without a complaint from someone I know that is sensitive to the smell. They were none the wiser.

> 3 dayI believe it really helps with scent and smoke reduction but don’t go and think you can use it in your room without people in your house still noticing. The presence and source of the smell will always reek and fill the space. I’d say they last few months with daily moderate use.

> 3 dayI finally got a chance to test this out last night and I was not dissapointed. It gets the job done much better than the traditional sploof. Though it should be said that if you are blowing cannabis smoke through this there is no way to %100 get rid of the smell only using the smoke buddy, so I highly recomend lighting some incense and blowing the smoke buddy out a window, as well as covering up the bowl your smoking out of so no extra smoke comes off of it. I have also found that if you want to make sure no smoke at all comes out the end, blow the smoke into it nice and slow, otherwise a minimal amount of smoke will come out the end. Overall I would recomend this product to anyone looking for a solid way to stealth smoke.
