Southwire Surge Guard 44270 Entry Level Portable Surge Protector - 50 Amp

So happy we had this!! Finally purchased one of these after reading multiple blogs that recommend them. Our first trip using it and the 50 amp plug at our camp site was messed up. We called the dealership thinking it was a fuse issue. 1st question they asked was if we had our trailer plunged into a surge protector and to pull the plug ASAP. It was the campgrounds outlet and this saved our trailer from possible damage. SO WORTH IT!!!!

Product faults if slightly bent or twisted and runs uneven voltages into RV. Fried hot water control board, fireplace control board, and GFCI plug-in. Verified uneven voltages with tester sent to Southwire and they “found no fault” and returned. Would not recommend!!

Easy to use. Hope I dont have any severe power issues.

This is now our 2nd surge guard. There was a lightning strike that hit the ground and if it weren’t for this we would have been in big trouble. We had the first one for 5 years.

First off, Im an idiot. I have a 30 amp system and this is for a 50 amp system. I did check it out once and it did everything it was suppose to do. But the best part is, Campers Paradise, took care of me even though I was the idiot who didnt read the description fully. They are awesome and I think my replacement came from them as well. Shipping was fast and CS were great. The item would have been perfect, if I had the right system for it. But more important to me, was the customer service from Campers Paradise. Will definitely buy from them again. Thanks guys, you were awesome!!

This surge protector helps me sleep at night. We bought a new high end rv with a 50 amp service line. Our rv station was installed a long time ago so I was a little uncertain if it was done correctly. Now I know as the protector gave me the green light.

Camping without a surge protector is very dangerous. This unit is very well made and provides the level of security you need. Easy to use. Easy to read.
