Southwire Surge Guard 44270 Entry Level Portable Surge Protector - 50 Amp

> 3 dayI got the last laugh! My friend and I often camp together with our families and both purchased new 5th wheels this year. I went from a 30 AMP tow behind to 50AMP prompting this purchase. When my friend first seen me plug in for only our second camping trip of the season he laughed when he seen me cover this surge protector with a bag. This was my attempt to shed any water away if it rained, but the laughter wasnt my bag he said it was my purchase. What a waste of a $100 he said. I thought well I spent a lot more than that on my trailer and a $100 was cheap to protect it... This is where I got his life long camping experience about for years I have been camping and never needed one, those things dont work anyway. The next day I was in my camper and noticed my celling fan had quite working, I started to investigate knowing my lights and many other features will still work off the battery I went to the surge protector and no lights were on. I went across the drive where my friends wife was and yep she says we have power. A asked make sure its something that wont run off your battery. Nope we dont she said and wouldnt you know when the power came back on so did my celling fan along with everything else. Now here is the last laugh part yep you guest it my neighbor was having power issues, TV not working I asked you can come watch mine!

> 3 dayGreat price. Works like its supposed to. I love the lights indicator. Tell you if its hooked up correct or reverse polarity or if theres an issue. Plugged it in and lightning storms and it worked like a charm. This thing will save all your electronics and your appliances inside your RV. We also use it for our Park Model trailer. You know its been saveedas for appliances. Can you imagine changing up your water heater electric in your RV. Hope this helps.
