Southwire Surge Guard 44270 Entry Level Portable Surge Protector - 50 Amp

I was parked at an RV park that suffered a catastrophic short out of a power box. I lost my microwave and converter because I did not have one of these. I was able to settle with the good people at the RV park, but it was still a hassle. Now I have one of these and I feel more protected. It was very easy to install. Of course, I wont know it it really works until there is another electrical short on the line.

So far so good although I am not sure if we have had any significant surges to test it. It is working well and price is good.

Works great... been using this all winter...lights still work even through snow and ice.
