> 3 dayI have been using Silicon Power SSDs for about 6 years now. havent lost any data yet. Use these for games. I have about 10 of these and all are running strong with no problems. 256gb all the way up to 2 tb. the smaller 256 and 512 i use for windows system installs. the larger i use for program and game installs. not the fastest but fast enough, i have no complaints about load times. this is the brand i went with when i upgraded from mechanical to solid state. not sorry, so far.

> 3 dayIts an SSD. Not a particularly fast one because of its sata interface, but I needed it for modding an Xbox 360. Does speed really matter? Probably not, and the things been working fine, so 5 stars it is. One thing though, if youre modding a phat xbox 360, then youll need some sort of space to make it work in the hard drive enclosure.

Greater than one weekIts a very regular SSD drive. The performance of the drive is better than a mechanical drive but not fast enough. Its reading speed can reach up to 240MB/s and average writing speed is about 50MB/s according to my tests. The storage space is just as described, no bad sectors were found. I suggest buyers to spend extra more dollars to buy a named brand SSD drive.

> 3 daySo I just purchased two more of these drives which are used in laptops around the house. The one that I purchased 4 years ago died at exactly 3.5 years. If you use these for anything more than light storage, the drives themselves will just stop responding to anything after the warranty expires. No complaints on the actual drive during use, and they seem very stable until they crash hard.

04-06-2025Installed it on my MacBook Pro expecting to have a swiftly loading applications, but that did not happened. The item quality did not meet my expectations. If looking for a large drive with ok to fast transfer rate for backup, this is the drive for the job.

> 3 daySilicon Power is LITERALLY the ONLY brand I buy. Why? When I used to work at my last Computer Repair Shop, I would see LOTS of Hard Drives coming in for upgrade/cloning over to SSD. What I also saw was that there were a lot of these off-brand SSDs that customers would buy from who knows where, and sure enough, they typically failed at about an 80% fail rate of at least the first attempt of cloning/migrating over the OS from the HD to the SSD. What brand, didnt fail? The only brand I ever had not to fail on the first migration/cloning attempt was Silicon Power (SP). The cool thing about SP is that they have great deals usually, so the price is never a concern when Im shopping for another SSD. Also, they hook you with FREE software to take care of your cloning/data transfer needs. Just register the SSD drive on their website located on the back of the packaging. Enter the code they ask you for and boom! You get the download link. I would Highly Recommend Silicon Power. Hope this helps someone make up their mind that may be shopping for a new SSD drive, whether you are upgrading or just adding to your setup....Go With Silicon Power!

> 3 daySo my 2TB HDD was faithful, but short lived. About 3 years. It died. Thankfully I had it backed up and bought this SSD. I transferred the data to this SSD and connected back to my computer and all is now fine in my little SSD drive. Great price and it really has 2TB of storage (except for the address being reserved)

> 3 dayI bought this drive around Christmas time at $90 and thought that was an insanely good deal, now I see its $2 less than when I bought it. I have bought a few SP SSDs and they never disappoint. I bought this drive to replace the internal drive in my laptop but I dont need it for that anymore so I ended up getting an external case for it and Im using it as external storage to back up data from a few different devices in my home. Ive never had any issues with any of my SP drives, including this 1. I will continue to buy more as my storage needs require.
