The latch came on time. It is pretty heavy. It is wider than a 4x4 treated post. I centered it and mounted with 4 lag screws w/ washers. I did pre-drill the holes for the lag screws so it wouldnt split the post. The gate that I mounted it on has 2x4 wire mesh on the lower portion. It was still easy to install.

These latches work well, so much easier than the chains.

Very good gate latch. I attached one side to a 4 X 4 wooden post, and the other to the gate edge of a chain link fence. This is a very heavy duty latch. You can even lock it. You can open/close when not locked with just one hand.

This is the third gate latch that i have bought, they are made very well, work great and are easy to install.

I bought one to yry out, and loved it so much, I bought another! Very secure, and easy to use. A must have if you have gates on your pastures!
