Returned. Did not meet requirements for project. The product was good, just not for the job.

Heavy duty, and easy to install. Latch takes very little effort to close. One hand to get in, push to re close. Just what I was looking for.

Fantastic if you need to enter and exit an area where you keep farm animals. I own 4 of these! Every time we create a paddock, this is the first thing we add. It makes getting in and out easy for children to seniors. Highly recommend.

Fixed my problem

The latch came on time. It is pretty heavy. It is wider than a 4x4 treated post. I centered it and mounted with 4 lag screws w/ washers. I did pre-drill the holes for the lag screws so it wouldnt split the post. The gate that I mounted it on has 2x4 wire mesh on the lower portion. It was still easy to install.

For the product. It seems these are complies of the ones made by sure-latch. Sure-latch have a thicker back plate and come with shims and bolts. Other than that they appear to work the same.

I dont know why we waited so long before we bought these. It makes opening and closing gates so easy! They are sturdy and the horses cant open them. (Believe me, they try.) Much more attractive than the chains we were using before to secure the gates with. We liked them so well we installed 8 of them around our property.
