Good for learning the basics, but if your an art vet youll be disappointed to learn that all of Speedballs products have taken a turn for the worse since theyve cornered the art store market. One of the blades was chipped but at least I knew how to fix it. If youre getting back into lino after a while like I was just save yourself the time and get some Flexcut tools or something. If youre just starting out and want something cheap to see if you even like it thats fine, just be aware that youll probably want to upgrade soon.

The cutter assortment arrived within one day. My daughter needed them for a high school art assignment that involves carving linoleum and then making prints. Her teacher sent me this link and thats how I came to purchase this specific brand. It is the same set she uses at school and works exactly the same way. So if you are carving linoleum and making prints, this will do the job.

Very easy to hold and use. Sharp as all get out. Highly Recommend!!!

the product is straight forward and easy to use. the blade may need re tightening once in a while during use, but that only requires a small twist. blades can be stored inside the handle so they dont get lost. great for use in the classroom or for a hobby. i would recommend using softer rubber tiles with this product.

    1. No instructions included with the tool. Had to go find YouTube videos. 2. Takes a LOT of juggling, wiggling, pushing, and pulling to get the cutter nibs seated in the adjustable head. Also a lot of the same to get them out. Since the cutters are razor sharp, this means a high risk of getting injured while trying to install or remove them. If your hand slips while youre trying to remove a cutter, hope you have bandages handy! 3. Once you have the thing assembled, its pretty easy to use. Cuts the rubber/lino well, but in my opinion the aggravation of having to wrestle with the thing every time I want to change the cutting nib outweighs the ease of use. 4. When youre doing any sort of art project, you get in a groove and you just want to go once your ideas are flowing. Having to work with persnickety art tools ruins the experience and gets you out of the mood to finish the project. Final thoughts: Im just going to buy a set of separate cutting tools, so that I can quickly pick up and put them down as I need them - it will cut my project time in half!

Im not sure if it was just mine but the pieces wouldnt fit correctly and either would keep falling out, or getting stuck in the handle.

The handle is fine but all of the blades have quality issues. The ones I received all had burrs on the cutting edge. One of them had a crooked cutting edge too. They didnt used to be this bad back in the day. Step it up Speedball!

This tool is exactly what is needed for block printing with rubber stamp pads. The extra blades hang out inside a compartment in the handle, and they are easy to change out. Although I would recommend buying 2 do you dont have to change them out as often for different sizes. The blades slide easily and smoothly through the rubber.

This is a great tool for rubber stamp carving, and the built in storage in the handle is genius!. I wont lose the very sharp tips in anyway with this storage built into the handle of this tool. Screwing the tips into place can get a little fiddly at times, but once they are in, they stay in place which is helpful (and safe!) during carving. Very pleased with this tool!

The tips of all of them came chipped and some of them even had some rust or something. I got this kit cause I’m a beginner and needed different sizes. Thankfully the one I needed the most wasn’t chipped too bad so I still use it. Have to do some research if there’s a way to fix it.
