This is absolutely perfect. Ive always wanted to invest in a swift, but couldnt justify the cost just for a few skeins of yarn. Also, they are too fussy because you have to clamp it and the bobbin winder to a table. This is a way better, and more affordable option. I love how compact it stores. I combined it with a Rosewood Yarn Ball Winder, which is a beautiful hand-held stick you can use to wind the yarn instead of your finger!

This simple tool has made my life much easier. I buy quite a bit of yarn in hanks, and finding someone to hold it or putting two chair backs together was kind of a pain. I use it in conjunction with the large Stanwood yarn winder (see video), but even if you are winding by hand, this would make the process easier.

Love this. My 5 year old puts it together for me. Works better than I expected. And since I can remove the top half of the unit with the yarn wound on it (provided I hold the joint together with my hand), I can unkink yarn by turning it over my tea kettle.

Very easy to set up an use. Can be broken down again for storage.
