17-04-2025This item is good for hobby needs or where you dont need to use it a lot. I like how I can store it easily and put it together easily. I dont like how flimsy it is and how small it is either. I have some huge skeins Im sure I wont be able to get on this thing, but I can construct an extra bit of length with some ducktap to get it on. Get creative if your skeins dont fit, or buy a bigger one to be sure! Its good for my needs. Would definitely recommend if you need it SOMETIMES and use small skeins.

> 3 dayI bought this along with a yarn winder. It works perfectly, I use both on the dinning room table, it folds up nice and works well. I have had no problems with it

13-04-2025Oh my goodness I wish I had discovered this sooner. Until recently I had never heard of a yarn swift or a ball winder. I used to spend hours unraveling my hanks and winding them into balls by hand. I would make my husband unwind the hang for me-he really hated it. When I did discover yarn swifts I was depressed by the price, until I discovered the Amish style yarn swifts. The umbrella ones are so much more expensive, and look more complicated. This one works beautifully, and its easy to store (which is great because space is at a premium in our house). This device saves so much time and hassle. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who works with yarn.

> 3 dayI have been using a swift I made myself for 4 years now...it was very noisy! This one is awesome. Its smooth so the yarn cant snag and very quiet. Unassembled, it is only 1.25 x 4 x 36 so it doesnt take up as much space as my homemade one. Its very easy to assemble when your ready to wind your Madelinetosh yarn :)

> 3 dayI love that this is made of wood, and it seems fairly durable. I bought this instead of umbrella swift for fear that Id break the umbrella portion. So naturally I dont have to worry about that. This swift has several adjustments for different size hanks, and despite not having a finish on the wood, it spins quietly, smoothly, and quickly. Very easy to assemble and take apart.

Greater than one weekVery easy to set up and use. I am happy that I decided to go with this product rather than the umbrella style. Works well with the yarn winder I purchased separately and it took next to no time to turn my skeins into cakes ready to use and store.

> 3 dayThis is a very simple concept that is very effective. I love not having to clamp it to a table and it does exactly what it has to. The wood is smooth and high quality. It will last a long time and it packs up small when stored.

> 3 dayI used to either ask my husband to hold the yarn, or use two chairs but now I have this great Swift and love it.
