> 3 dayIve wanted a yarn swift for years but all I ever saw were the umbrella kind. I dont have a place to install one of those and never felt they were sturdy or attractive or worth the hassle. They are big and difficult to use, not to mention pricey. In the past, Ive used my family members to hold my yarn, tables, footstools, and a mannequin. Even the cat would run when I pulled out the yarn! It was time for a real swift.

> 3 dayI had a fancy one of these with expanding arms like an umbrella. It did not survive five years. This is one is so simple that there is not much that could go wrong. I really like that.

> 3 dayThis simple tool has made my life much easier. I buy quite a bit of yarn in hanks, and finding someone to hold it or putting two chair backs together was kind of a pain. I use it in conjunction with the large Stanwood yarn winder (see video), but even if you are winding by hand, this would make the process easier.

> 3 dayWell made swift that is very stable when in use. It moves very smoothly when winding yarn. I found this well worth the money.
