This item is good for hobby needs or where you dont need to use it a lot. I like how I can store it easily and put it together easily. I dont like how flimsy it is and how small it is either. I have some huge skeins Im sure I wont be able to get on this thing, but I can construct an extra bit of length with some ducktap to get it on. Get creative if your skeins dont fit, or buy a bigger one to be sure! Its good for my needs. Would definitely recommend if you need it SOMETIMES and use small skeins.

Nicely made, turns smoothly & is stable on my table while in use. Bigger than I thought it would be! Pegs are adjustable to fit ifferent sizes of skeins of yarn. Makes winding yarn into a ball so much easier (ball winder purchased separately). Glad I purchased this Swift

So thrilled with this wooden swift. Had another type that was so inferior to this. I was frustrated when I had to cake up a skein of yarn. This is easy to assemble and works beautifully.

Works very well for the money. Husband was supposed to make me one, but for the price, it wasnt worth waiting for him. Does the trick very well, just dont go too fast!

Just wound 8 balls of yarn! I love this swift. It is so simple and works great. I had no problem with the wooden branches not working on the wooden base. It spins fine. A friend has the umbrella type swift and I prefer this one.

Excellent quality, easy to use, all knitters should have one, easy to put-away. When the unit spins, the center rod can be too short when the yardage gets too large(depending on the thickness of the yarn).

I like to wind my yarn with a small center and an oblong shape that fits in a beverage mug that protects the skein. Being able to adjust pegs to hold the yarn and check for possible snarls before winding made my first experience a 100 percent success. Its portability is also appreciated.

Easy to out together and works well. What i expected and would say there is value for the money spent.
