Greater than one weekAssuming you mounted it properly to studs, this thing is incredibly sturdy. Should be able to support any equipment no problem.

> 3 dayFirst time purchasing a rack mount for home and couldnt be happier for the price. I would rather put my money into the technology vs the mounting equipment. I put a unifi 24 port switch, Unifi dream machine pro, cyberpower powersupply and startech shelf. I used xool ($12.99) M6 screws. One review said the startech were silver, but the ones that came with mine were black. For the price of competing 6U racks I got a great setup and couldnt be happier. The rack comes pre-assembled and the shelf is of very high quality. I had to put the shelf in slot 5 or I would have had to remove the support brace on the top to install. I have my cable modem and a 10GBE switch that goes to a nas and main pc.

> 3 dayOverall, this is a solid 6U rack, but there are some definite issues if you attach it to a wall. 1. The screws and wall anchors are a disaster waiting to happen. Theres no way that it will hold for a long period of time. You will need to use your own screws, preferably 2 wood screws and will need to drill directly into the stud. If you dont have studs around the area, then you will need to put some backing boards and will need to install into those. Not the prettiest if it is being installed outside of a closet, but the artwork should be left up to you. 2. There is only enough screws to install 3 units. Why? Why would I not be provided with the full 24 screws needed instead of just 12. Horrible. Decking an entire star because of this nonsense.

Greater than one weekId give it a 5 as it was perfect for my home network closet. If you cant use a drill or find a stud you might need help installing this but if you are buying this you should probably already have a good idea of what you are getting into. THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH CAGE NUTS to fill all 6us properly. Im going to have to buy extra which is a big downer. So beware you might need to spend up to $20 more to get enough cage nuts.

15-11-2024This review is for the 6U rack. The rack is sturdy enough and appears well built. Unfortunately, the included hardware is just 12 screws and 12 cage nuts. Of course, that is not enough hardware to be able to fill a full 6U rack. Should be at least 24 screws+nuts. Does it say just 12 screws+nuts are included? Yes, so buyer beware. I chatted with Mohammed at StarTech support to tell them I needed more hardware for a 6U rack and he declined to help. It says 12 are included so thats all you get. Terrible customer service in my opinion, but theyd rather have me leave a review like this instead of helping the customer. Id look elsewhere for a rack that includes all the necessary hardware.

> 3 dayAlways buy one size bigger than what you think you need. Bought a 4u now I need a 6u :/ Great for the price.

> 3 dayDoes exactly what you would expect. Comes with enough cage nuts and screws for all spaces. The cross brace at the top was a little annoying and interfered with my PDU so I took it off, but theres more than enough lateral strength from all the equipment I put in it. Would buy again.

Greater than one weekI was pleasantly surprised by this rack. Frankly I expected something more flimsy based on a couple other reviews, but its actually nicely made and quite sturdy especially when you put in a few components. I have not mounted it on the wall just yet - but I expect that to go easily. Pros: - Sturdy - Powder coat finish - even. No sharp edges. Cons: - Only comes with (12) M6 screws/nuts which basically gives you 3 components you can mount in this rack. I would have at least put 20 or 24 because you are likely to fill it up completely and not a large cost over all (perhaps a few pennies?). Plan to get a few more screw/nuts if you have more than 3 items going in this rack. There are a few options on amazon (unfortunately most come in a 25 or 50 pack ... and are silver not black ... at least that I could find). I bought this for managing the nerve center on my new house still under construction ... so it will house my modem, router, a switch, NAS, power strip, patch panel and with a bit of room for a 1U NAS/Server down the road - tbd. Will update after the install but expect this to be a winner.

> 3 dayThis is a great quality network rack. Very sturdy and has a cross-brace on the top. It comes with all things needed (bolts and nuts for the equipment). I bought a bottom shelf (https://amzn.to/3lOC2sN) so I could put non rack-mountable equipment in there as well. I thought a 6u would be plenty, but should have bought an 8u because I didnt realize how much stuff I would put in there. Overall very happy with my purchase and looking at purchasing another one here soon.
