just the right size！ but no rubber band to keep it close. soon as you start painting. its hard to close it nicely. so not good for painting you going to wet the whole page. otherwise its very nice.

I really like this book. The material is great and you can if you work with it correctly make it flat enough so you can draw onto two pages. Just takes a little Effort.

I use these style notebooks for collage which can make the binding overly stressed. That has not been the case with this book, which is really great, it serves its purpose well. The only reason i suggest it not useful for travel is there’s no strap or tie to keep it closed, as is sometimes present in smaller notebooks. I used an exacto knife to put holes in the front and back covers and ran a ribbon through to address this issue. As far as a gift it’s very plain, which serves me purpose no problem but is probably not unique or special enough to give as a present. I will be buying more though,

Ive been looking all over for a multimedia visual art journal and Ive finally found it! Amazing quality, pages work amazing will all different kinds of art mediums! Definitely will render again!

Great for alcohol markers and coloured pencils

I love the paper in this sketchbook so much, but the binding is very tight. It doesnt want to lay flat at all, which can get pretty annoying. Trying to hold open the book while sketching is a bummer. Ive been trying to train it to stay open by just holding it wide open a lot, but I shouldnt have to do that. :/ My other hardcover sketchbooks (Pentalic and Stillman & Birn Beta and Zeta) stay open fine, so youd think a big company like Strathmore would have figured it out...

The cover of this book is excellent quality. It feels and looks fantastic. The paper I found wanting. 60lb paper, for some reason, is different thicknesses even across this brand. This book has paper that feels thin and flimsy unfortunately. Its a big toothy as well. There ARE NOT 192 pages in this book. There are 96. Since paper is sold in single sheets, I fail to see why sketchbook sheets are counted as 2. Completely false advertising and product description. I bought this book specifically for its page count, ignoring the price, and Im very disappointed.

Love, Love, Love this big art journal. Paper is soooo nice I was afraid to start messing it up! But of course I did - sturdy enough for mixed media. The large format is wonderful.

This is a well made book.
