Für alle Nass-Techniken ist das Papier in Ordnung. Die Blätter wölben sich nur gering. Für Stifttechniken gibt es Besseres.

La calidad del papel es muy buena. Me habría gustado que tuviera un gramaje mayor, ya que al usarlo con acuarela o gouache se humedecen las páginas anteriores. Pero dejando de lado ese hecho, me gustó mucho la textura, es de grano muy fino y creo que de las opciones más asequibles de un SketchBook con papel 100% algodón. La cubierta de pasta dura es suave y resistente y creo que tiene un acabado muy elegante. Me gustaría que tuvieran una versión más grande (como tamaño A4 o B5) con la pasta dura, pero creo que en México no se consigue por el momento. Definitivamente volveré a comprarlo cuando lo termine.

I use mine for gouache painting which doesnt take too much water. I have not tried it for ink or watercolor.

I like it alot. It can hold alot of water and it wont buckle (although I do tape the edges). However someti.es it is as if the paper wont take the paint and the paint is just laying on top of it, I suspect that it requires to be wetted before any paint added to it at all.

The cold press “tooth” grain is on one side of the paper, and most of the paper was loaded and bound incorrectly so the grain is on the wrong side for most of the pages for my particular notebook. Kind of annoying, but it’s a good hardcover watercolor sketchbook.

I searched for a watercolor journal with quality paper that I could get for a reasonable price and this is what I went with. I’m very pleased with the results. I was expecting to do 24 paintings as there are 24 sheets and I assumed I wouldn’t be able to use the backs, but the pages have held up very well to my washes and I expect to be able to use the back of all these pages. I use binder clips to hold pages together to help avoid warping and the pages have held up well. I’ve very pleased with the durability of the paper and how well it has stood up to multiple layers and wet-on-wet painting. I was also pleasantly surprised by the cover which was a lot more beautiful than I was expecting. I would highly recommend.
