> 24 hourThis paper is absolutely perfect for dry colored pencil illustrations. It has a nice weight and tooth that allows me to create professional-looking illustrations with many layers of pencil. My paper has held up exceptionally well thus far. I can see how it could scratch, but with my technique this is not a problem, even considering the relatively harder pencils Im using. Youd really have to be scratching a line into the paper for that to occur. Im not sure how well itll work for wet media, but its designed for colored pencil (dry, at least). I highly recommend this paper, including for those who are into fine art.

> 24 hourThis paper was a giant pain to try and work with when using both blending medium and a colored pencil blender (both Prismacolor and Caran DAche). I will stick with a mixed media paper like Canson for my colored pencil work.

> 24 hourI really like the Strathmore Colored Pencil paper. For several years I had been using their Bristol smooth for colored pencil drawing, having heard that was the paper for it. While it is ok, I couldnt get the results I had hoped for. Then I decided to take a class in colored pencil. Strathmore Colored Pencil paper was on the list of materials needed. WOW! Im doing so much better now. This paper takes many, many layers of pencil and blending is easier than with the Bristol. Its a very reasonably priced creamy color, 100-lb paper. I have the 9 x 12 pad and recently bought the 6 x 8 pad. They are both wire bound...and I am having so much fun now with my art. I highly recommend it.

> 24 hourAs any artist should, it’s hard to find a paper that’s worth drawing upon due to thickness, texture and ease of movement. Not to mention how well your pencil marks erase! I bought this one from Micheal’s a few years ago and I’m absolutely addicted. The texture and thickness is amazing, my pencil glides along the page, and it’s easy to erase if need be. It’s easy to blend and fill, too! My Fabricastle pens I use to define my lines before I color in don’t bleed through and the pads as a whole travel really well. They offer a steady surface, don’t curl or flex easily and overall an excellent product. I swear by them now!
