I love using this paper, I practically have every type they make, just absolutely love.

This paper is absolutely perfect for dry colored pencil illustrations. It has a nice weight and tooth that allows me to create professional-looking illustrations with many layers of pencil. My paper has held up exceptionally well thus far. I can see how it could scratch, but with my technique this is not a problem, even considering the relatively harder pencils Im using. Youd really have to be scratching a line into the paper for that to occur. Im not sure how well itll work for wet media, but its designed for colored pencil (dry, at least). I highly recommend this paper, including for those who are into fine art.

I was excited to see Strathmore had paper especially for colored pencil. I ordered it right away and brought it to art class and tried it immediately in an assignment. I was really disappointed when I used this paper for colored pencil. I use Prismacolor pencils and love to blend and layer. This paper was too soft to get a good waxy blend going. It felt too soft and didnt have much character to it. It was kind of cushiony almost. Maybe if I had removed the sheet from the book and used it with a board or hard surface underneath it might have been better. I dont like removing pages from my sketchbooks though. I ended up giving away a good portion of the paper. The rest, Ill see if I can use it for charcoal or pastel. Also, because it was so soft, I had a hard time and ultimately failed at getting all the graphite sketch lines off the drawing. I wouldnt buy this paper again. Strathmore has great papers but this isnt one of them.

This paper is fantastic for your colored pencils ( I use Prismacolor Colored Pencils and Faber Castell Polychromos mostly but works great for others too. I have a lot of brands of colored pencils and havent found one yet that doesnt lay down good on this paper. I have Black Widow. Arteza, Platinum,Lyra Polycolor, simply... sketch pencils, Pro Art sketch, Raffine color marco, and Spectrum Noir colored pencils.

I am getting back into sketching and wanted paper that was not super cheap but would not be detrimental to my limited talents. So far the paper I exactly what I need.T

Probably the best paper ever.
