Strathmore Colored Pencil Spiral Paper Pad 9X12-30 Sheets -62477900

I like the paper because I love paper, but most other paper works as well for what I do.

I have never really used colored pencils as an adult, but my husband bought me a massive set for Christmas and I wanted to get a paper that would do them justice. Never mind my ho-hum drawing, but I included it to show how well the paper handled a lot of solvent for blending. I thought for sure itd chew it up, but not a ripple or pill could be found!

Just enough tooth for colored pencil. Would like to see it in grey tone or other colors.

I am so thankful that I ran onto this paper! It was a God-sent gift as I like to try out colors with my pencils, as well as watercolor colors; and this paper is helpful when doing my pictures and/or crafts. It helps me to define what media I want to use it with.

Horrible! This is the worst paper for colored pencil work. After I tried to use it I read reviews by seasoned hobby artists & by professional artists...they had the same opinion. I used it with Prismacolor Premier pencils & Polychromos. The problem must be that the paper doesnt have enough tooth. I use Strathmore Drawing Paper with no problem. My favorite paper (its very expensive in comparison though) is Fabriano Artistico Hot Pressed Watercolor 140 lb. paper.

I love using Strathmore paper for my colored pencil drawings! Its has just enough texture, not to much.

I just don’t like this paper at all. It barely has any tooth & what little it has is lost quickly even with a light hand. I’ve tried to like this stuff especially since I have 2 pads of it. It doesn’t matter which brand of colored pencils I use on it, it just sucks.

I think this paper is true to what it is which is great paper for colored pencils. It grabs the color and is great for layering. I only wish I had more of it.
