Great for colored pencil art

This isnt too bad and thankfully is on the edge of the pad, but you can definitely see and feel the dent on the paper.

I love using Strathmore paper for my colored pencil drawings! Its has just enough texture, not to much.

As they say, paper does make a difference. I just purchased the expensive FB polychromes & tested on various sketch pads I have, and the paper does make a difference. If I used Strathmore mixed media, Canson reg. drawing pads, Bees super deluxe, this one absorbed the FB polys best. Never tried the rec Stonehedge b/c way too expensive, esp if u need paper sizes bigger than 9 x 12, so I like this choice better. If I was professional artist, than I wud go for the Stonehedge, but this is a hobby. And I like other mediums besides colored pencils, so I need other types of paper.

Fantastic for a teen that loves to draw with colored pencils

My sketchbook was mishandled during shipping or came already damaged from production. It had almost half of the notebook with a weird bent in the lower part of the notebook and also a marked line in many consecutive pages like another reviewer pointed out. It is a shame since this renders the notebook useless for full drawings. Customer service was good and granted my refund, but I would recommend purchasing another sketchbook instead, like a Bristol Sketchbook, whose paper tooth works better with color pencils, in my opinion.

I purchased this product along with the Amazon Basics colored pencils set. I was just looking to see if I liked colored pencils so I was on a budget. This product did the job! Took the color nicely, helped the colors blend well, and the paper itself is fairly sturdy!
