> 3 dayNearly perfectly. Heres how it works. You lift the lid and trigger two buttons, one on each end. That frees the insert. You insert your roll of plastic wrap and pull the loose end out and back over the lid. Replace the insert. Now, the tail end of the plastic is running between two pieces of plastic. Those pieces have three curved cutouts at both ends and the middle. This allows you, after cutting, to pull the end out to the desired length. To cut, bring the lid down all the way. It doesnt feel like much happened, but when you let the lid up, the plastic is cut cleanly. The new roll end is again caught between the plastic pieces and ready for you to pull another. If you were to pick the loaded dispenser up and shake it, its possible to bounce the roll around enough to pull the end back into the body of the machine, in which case, you just open the insert and reload. No big deal. Im kind of stunned. I really didnt expect this kind of slick operation. If it matters, I have been using 100-foot Saran wrap in it. I see no reason for it to work any differently with other brands. The lid that you lift to grab the roll end sits about halfway ajar, but there is a simple one-hand twist latch that can hold it closed to keep it from crumb-catching if you like. I feels substantial and well made and will likely last long enough to be well worth the price. As related in other reviews, it probably wont take very large rolls. It comes with some soft rubber shoes, one for each side, that gives it considerable traction on a counter. But on my slick stainless counter or on top of my no-fingerprint enameled bread box, its barely heavy enough to sit still reliably when you pull a length. Thats not really too big a deal. It pretty well takes two hands, one to pull and one to push the lid down to cut, so you have a hand on the dispenser anyway. Im going to rig mine with a sheet magnet glued to the bottom to stick to my steel counter or steel breadbox. Of course, no problem if its attached with screws. The instructions specifically say that it wont work with foil. I suspect, though, that it may well work with parchment or wax paper. I bake all our bread, and I frequently need to pull a foot of wrap to cover a bowl during proofing. I intensely dislike fiddling with a plastic wrap box and the inadequate cutting edge provided. Plus, the box falls apart before I finish the roll. No more of that. As I said, IT WORKS!

> 3 dayI have always had trouble with plastic wrap, Im left handed and felt that might have something to do with the wrestling match I endured.Tried every brand, the heavy verses the thin, and heavy was better, but not good. Now that Im a senior citizen with arthritis in my hands plastic wrap was a nightmare. Im back to finding new uses for plastic wrap now that it is a dream to use with WrapN Snap dispenser. It does take up more space and does not fit in the spot I kept the box type in. I have left it on the counter and this has worked out better. Im using it more. I had gotten into the habit of using zip lock bags for items that a quick wrap would do. An example is taking medication on the go. Plastic wrapped pills in the pocket is better than a qt. bag in the pocket. When packing for a trip I used plastic wrap instead of bags for many items like an extra pair of shoes that may soil clean clothing do well wrapped, takes up less room than air filled bags.

> 3 dayI am reviewing this dispenser for my husband, who paid for it. May flights of angels sing him to his rest each night (or I will) for this act. He hath done a blessed thing. I cant tell you how much plastic wrap I have wasted in my lifetime. It would wrinkle as it came out of the box, it stuck to itself, it stuck to me, it stuck to everything except the desired object, and to add insult to injury it would never tear in a neat, straight line, but tore raggedly and stretched and the box bit me (or thats the impression I got) about half the time. Sometimes the box came apart. Sometimes I helped it along. End result? A wrinkled wad of plastic wrap, an uncovered food item, and a frazzled wife, or (best case scenario) a sort-of-covered item that would go bad soon and band-aids usually involved. But now? With this marvelous Wrap-n-Snap dispenser we see a bad master transformed into a wonderful slave. The plastic wrap comes out without wrinkling (proper tension), and cuts neatly across without cutting the wife. The desired food product is already covered, and the wife is happy. Praise God! Worth every penny he paid for it.

Greater than one weekIm used to keeping a roll of this stuff in a cabinet and bringing it out each time I need to use it (just about every day). This is often when hands are covered in food or whatever so the box gets grungy over time; the box also needs immediate reinforcement with heavy-duty packaging tape or it quickly falls apart. I happened upon this dispenser on Amazon and, since the only cling wrap that Ive ever found worth buying is what Costco sells (Stretch-Tite, two boxes of 750 each bundled together) and since this dispenser describes itself as specifically designed for this brand, I figured this would reduce the chances that Id have to return it as not useful. It works great. Im happy with it. Good quality and very to use. I like the way the lid is perpetually open so my fingers dont have to touch anything at all before grabbing hold of the wrap and pulling it out. The cutting mechanism is also well-designed so I can use even my wrist or elbow to push the lid down, which activates the cutter, before springing back up into open position. I gave this 4 stars only because it does not include a means to attach under cabinets. I dont want any more counter clutter and the counter backsplashes are mirrors and I was reluctant to risk cracking the glass by drilling holes through the mirrors and so I had to improve a solution for this - see pics). For each one of the two support brackets, I used epoxy to attach one 9 90-degree angle bracket to a second 6 90-degree angle bracket to create a large U shaped bracket. I screwed one side into the underside of the cabinet which left a horizontal bar 6+ inches below and parallel to the underside of the cabinet. I attached the feet of the dispenser to each bracket with 3M double-sided tape, which is more than strong enough to keep this baby in place. One satisfied customer.

Greater than one weekThe extra thickness helps with covering your bowls. This product is superior to others. After using for a couple of months, this is the only one I will use.

> 3 dayOk, I would never have guessed that this dispenser could possibly be as good and easy to use as this is. No more tugging plastic wrap against a thin metal strip. You just reach up where the dispenser auto-feeds the wrap and pull out as needed. Tap the top down and it is cut instantly. Far less stretching and clinging to itself. If anyone told me Id pay this much for a great dispense I would have said they are crazy. But after five years of using the great Stretch-Tite wrap from Costco, I found I would use it even more often than using plastic bags IF I had a good dispenser. It is sized only for the large Costco rolls and this is for these rolls that are a little longer tubes than other grocery store brands. Well worth the price! I expect it to last many years.
