I am the plastic wrap whisperer in my house. No matter how screwed up the roll gets, Im always able to get it untangled and rolling in a full sheet. I am happy to give up that position to the Wrap n Snap! I havent had a single issue of tearing or sticking. The best part, I only need 1 hand to get a clean cut on the wrap. Love this thing!

Nearly perfectly. Heres how it works. You lift the lid and trigger two buttons, one on each end. That frees the insert. You insert your roll of plastic wrap and pull the loose end out and back over the lid. Replace the insert. Now, the tail end of the plastic is running between two pieces of plastic. Those pieces have three curved cutouts at both ends and the middle. This allows you, after cutting, to pull the end out to the desired length. To cut, bring the lid down all the way. It doesnt feel like much happened, but when you let the lid up, the plastic is cut cleanly. The new roll end is again caught between the plastic pieces and ready for you to pull another. If you were to pick the loaded dispenser up and shake it, its possible to bounce the roll around enough to pull the end back into the body of the machine, in which case, you just open the insert and reload. No big deal. Im kind of stunned. I really didnt expect this kind of slick operation. If it matters, I have been using 100-foot Saran wrap in it. I see no reason for it to work any differently with other brands. The lid that you lift to grab the roll end sits about halfway ajar, but there is a simple one-hand twist latch that can hold it closed to keep it from crumb-catching if you like. I feels substantial and well made and will likely last long enough to be well worth the price. As related in other reviews, it probably wont take very large rolls. It comes with some soft rubber shoes, one for each side, that gives it considerable traction on a counter. But on my slick stainless counter or on top of my no-fingerprint enameled bread box, its barely heavy enough to sit still reliably when you pull a length. Thats not really too big a deal. It pretty well takes two hands, one to pull and one to push the lid down to cut, so you have a hand on the dispenser anyway. Im going to rig mine with a sheet magnet glued to the bottom to stick to my steel counter or steel breadbox. Of course, no problem if its attached with screws. The instructions specifically say that it wont work with foil. I suspect, though, that it may well work with parchment or wax paper. I bake all our bread, and I frequently need to pull a foot of wrap to cover a bowl during proofing. I intensely dislike fiddling with a plastic wrap box and the inadequate cutting edge provided. Plus, the box falls apart before I finish the roll. No more of that. As I said, IT WORKS!

This is a product I didnt know I needed until one time visiting my sister I saw her use it when getting ready to store our leftovers from Thanksgiving dinner. I have always hated using plastic wrap because I would wrestle with its sticking to itself and anywhere else except where I wanted it to stick, being very difficult to apply to the bowl I wanted it to cover. When I saw my sister use this device, I was sold. I went home and immediately ordered one. It is easy to use and works perfectly.

I just received mine, I tried a roll of glad plastic wrap that my wife bought at the local store and it worked with no issues. The roll was 300 ft and works great. I also tried some wax paper that wasn’t from the company that sells this product. Just make sure that the roll only 12 inches long and under 750 feet. It didn’t matter what brand I used it works, as long as I stayed with in the dimensions. This product isn’t like other products it doesn’t have guides that goes into the end of the role. I Just drops roll into the compartment and thread plastic wrap through and it works as it should.

I’ve always liked stretch-tite wrap from Costco but hated the box and cutter which always seemed to fail at about 1/4 of the way through...grrrr! I ordered this in order to avoid just throwing out the majority of the unused roll. I like this unit but the plastic composition seems brittle. I feel the need to be careful using it so that I don’t break it but I can deal with it. My only real complaint is that there are no instructions for opening the unit. Many of the reviews mention getting cut while trying to load the roll. I googled instructions and found a YouTube video which helped me to get it open. I was surprised to find the instructions INSIDE the unit. I’d suggest to the mfr that they place the instructions in the box but outside of unit itself.

Works great. My only complaint is the wrap they make is only 11.63 wide. The machine will work with 12 but stretch tight only makes 11.63 wide for it

I am very happy with this purchase! Ive been using Stretch-tite for years, but had no idea this dispenser existed, so the box would end up messed up when the roll was about 1/3 of the way used up. Annoying, to say the least. I would have to fix it with a tape, be very gentle when tearing the plastic, just no bueno! the dispenser changed it all - what a wonderfully well designed gadget! Now, one word of caution: when I first ordered the product, it came with a plastic already loaded and two pieces of plastic broken, shaking inside the dispenser. I asked to return it. No problems, got a new one two days later, no extra charge. When I opened the new package, it became clear that the one I got before contained a dispenser that had been used and returned by a customer, still with a roll inside. When you get the package, make sure the dispenser is encased in a fully sealed plastic wrap, and that a sheet with instructions in enclosed in the box. Both things were not the case for my first purchase.

This dispenser makes it easy to use plastic wrap. One of the best kitchen products ever. The only downside is that the cover lock broke after years of use.

This product is the same as one we bought several years ago; however, this one does not operate as smoothly as the first one. It does not cut the film as smoothly as our previous one. This may just be a one-off issue.
