O.K. I am new to embroidery and I ordered this at the same time I ordered my machine. I am sure that it is a fine product for those who have some experience and actually know what they need. This is not the product for a newbie. I didnt realize that it would be so thin. After reading the reviews (I know, should have read them first) it sounds like it should be used on top and that a thicker stabilizer should be used on the bottom. Still learning.....

works great and washes off easily with just a washcloth if needed. My son was helping me and drooled over my nicely hooped ready to go and it melted it instantly where i had to start over.

I have used this in the past for a stabilizer. But for me , now I use it for transferring hand embroidery designs that I create on the computer. it prints easy . and dissolves easy. and it holds up well in the embroidery process .

Great for use on towels and fleece. Washes right off and its very easy to use. Ive bought the same brand many times from different retailers and get the same great results.

I have a Viking embroidery sewing machine and I swear by this to keep designs from sinking into the material. You can tear off the large piecces from a completed design and the rest will disolve with a few spritzes of water. I collect the pieces and when I have a full ziplock bag I add warm water and make a Sulky glue. You can just brush it on material, let it dry and embroider your design on top. I would only use Sulky glue for washable items.

I am a new user of embroidery machines. This stabilizer is the best made for the top of embroidering. I cut the holder at the bottom of the container, and place it near the front of the drawer. I then drape the stabilizer over the side of a drawer and it is there at your connivance to just pull and snip just the size that you want. It is reasonable and fast fast service so when you are low you will be surprised of the speedy delivery. Cost is great also.

If you are looking to hand embroider small things, perhaps look into the one with adhesive backing. My first impression when I opened the package was that it smells like glue. It just kind of felt and acted like a roll of dried glue. Tracing the design onto it wasnt too hard but it was tricky as it kept slipping around. While embroidering, I found that the material is a bit gummy. My needle would go through the fabric but not the stabilizer unless I stab really hard. This ended up stretching the stabilizer which messed up the alignment of my design. I did enjoy watching it dissolve though. Maybe I didnt like it because i am still a beginner. I think this is more fit for people who already have experience with a similar material.
