Greater than one weekThese are a very good deal, and I was able to connect them to 12V 1-amp converter (for 120V) that I had around the house. Unfortunately they are not the warm white 2700K advertised, and I would guess they are somewhere in the mid-3500K (cool white) range. They are quite bright for LEDs which will be useful for some applications, but in my case - for hidden cabinet lighting - they are a bit too bright given that they are cool white and not warm white. They installed easily, and it was simple to cut them to length. The adhesive backing works reasonably well, although it actually was peeling away from the light strip in some places even as I applied it. UPDATED: I figured out a quick-fix for overly bright cool-white light strips like these. Get some yellow-ochre oil paint. It takes about 5 minutes to dap a bit on each LED for the entire strip, and for under cabinet lighting (hidden) it works very well. I am attaching a before and after for just one bay of a cabinet where we wanted warm-white lighting, and the light from these cool-white LED strips was too harsh. In some cases we decided we needed a second coat, so dont worry about blocking the light - the paint can be wiped off or added to get the right tone.

20-11-2024I hadn’t intended to buy the waterproof version but glad I did because the waterproofing adds significantly to the overall strength/robustness of the strip. I wish they had provided a clue on how to remove the waterproofing when installing a connector and even YouTube is strangely vague on the topic. I found that a dremel tool with wire brush wheel works well for removing the waterproofing without damaging the strip by the way. Adhesive backing isn’t very strong but I think that is typical. No specs provided and I ended up using a double row to get the brightness I needed but they work fine. This was my first LED strip purchase and I’ll shop for better documented version next time but I’d buy these again though I expect I’ll always want a higher density version.

> 3 dayGot these to replace non-working lights beneath awning on camper. They fit well, a little narrower than original lights, but fit was good. Plugged into existing wiring, flipped the switch and there was light. I am pleased with this purchase

> 3 dayI have used for 2 projects. 1 was on brand new shellaced shelves. Adhesive stuck great then fell off 2 days later. I ended up using 3m foam tape to hold. 2nd project was a large mirror frame. Surface was clean latex paint. Same result. Stuck aggressively. Even pulled paint off if repositioned. 2 days later entire light strip was laying on the counter. I need to get another light strip for this application.

> 3 dayThese lights are AMAZING i got red & blue (i dont know why i didnt get ones that could change color) but they have super vibrant and strong light productions. I love them -- EXCEPT, I cannot get them to stay on my walls for the life of me. Possibly because theyre dorm walls, and nothing sticks to those, but Ive tried everything (except glue bc thats illegal) and they wont stay up.

> 3 dayThese worked well for adding light to my 6 x 12 enclose trailer. I cut each 16 foot roo into 3 equal pieces and used a total of 2 rolls to complete my project. The only thing I didnt care for was that the set never came with the connection with the wire already attached to run the third strip after cutting it to length. I realize you can purchase these for really cheap so I think these sets should at least come with one of these connections. Instead they come with a connection to add the strips together to make a continuous string, which is good to have for certain applications but the ones with wires are would be nice for applications such as mine. I had to make my own with some small wire I had laying around. If you do this you must use a thin wire such as 20 or 22 gauge and make sure that the wire ends dont touch each other in the connection. Please note that I cut the plug off the end and ran my own power wire and ground wire from my battery power source in the trailer. Other than that only time will tell if they last and work as they should.
