21-11-2024The adhesive on them sucked. I had to figure out my own way to stick them on my balcony. But I got them on and Im pleased.

> 3 dayI added accent lighting in my motor home, above the wood trim on my main slide. The strip was very simple to install and the adhesive seems to be adequate as it is staying in place very well, so far. I tied into an existing 12v source/switch and am very pleased with the warm but not stark light it emits. See photos of before and after. Since the power source/switch was in the middle of the wall, I cut the strip in half, cut off the molded connector, stripped the ends off the wires, connected the red to red and black to black to the wires coming from the strip on the opposite end, then ran a jumper down to the switch and joined up to a ground wire. Very satisfied with product quality, brightness level, and adhesion.

Greater than one weekWhat happens when you cross low-cost/quality manufacturing with electricity? A fire risk. Enter this water-resistant LED light strip. After un-boxing I plugged it into an old 12V router power supply I had sitting around. Oddly, only about half the strip lit up before fading out. I put a couple pics up to show everyone what I mean. Curious as to how much was lit vs un-lit, I unrolled it and went out to find a tape measure. Because my garage currently looks like it could be on the next episode of hoarders, it took me about five minutes to find. This number is important, because when I came back inside I smelt the unmistakable smell of melting plastic. I quickly measured the lit portion at about 8 ft(out of 16) and went to unplug. Thats when I found out where that smell was coming from, the supplied 12v female plug was almost too hot to touch! I assume the +/- leads were somehow in contact with one another inside. This would lead to a drop in voltage and explain why there wasnt enough power for the entire strip of LEDs. So, I quickly snipped that off an soldered on another one I had sitting around and voila, the entire light strip now worked and I was no longer worried about burning my house down. Two stars for looking nice once fixed, minus 3 stars for the might catch something on fire issues. ***My Rating Criteria*** Build Quality(47.5%) - 0.0 Stars Efficacy(47.5%) - 3.0 Stars Post-Sale Support(0.0%) - n/a Packaging/Presentation(5.0%) - 5.0 Stars WEIGHTED AVERAGE(100.0%) - 1.7 STARS

> 3 dayThe lights are nicely built and quick to install, but honestly, I was a little disappointed in the brightness level of these lights as compared with some others that Ive seen. Still a great value for the price if you dont mind them not being daytime bright.

> 3 dayThese lights are nice and bright and have plenty of places to cut to length. The water resistant coating works well and looks nice . . .but it makes access to the contacts you would need to get to for a cut section a little difficult. If you are skilled with an exacto knife and can solder looking thru a magnifying glass, you will have no problem with these, but after cut to length, they will not work with the snap on connectors without some trimming.

> 3 dayWe wanted dim lighting for a staircase on our boat. They were mounted inside a diffuser so adhesive and brightness were not an issue.

> 3 dayI used these in conjunction with a solar panel and battery to light my shed. Brighter than I was expecting. I was a little rough with the install and Im not a very good solderer. I cut back some of the waterproofing to solder power in at various points to make two three-way switches work at each end of the shed.
