> 24 hourIve owned these for about a year now and theyve been great. Its not the most advanced meter in the world, but the price was right. I did have trouble resetting it. I had to switch the app pairing mode to AP, then press and hold the button for 5 seconds, release (LED should flash rapidly). Then, press and hold for another 5 seconds which will put it in AP mode, the LED should flash slowly. At this point you can connect your phones Wi-Fi to the plug and finish adding it in the app.

> 24 hourThe outlet works just like any other smart outlet out there. I recommend setting it up with the Smart Life app as it is the most universally compatible. I have things setup so that when it is time to wake up, my lights turn in and my desktop boots up. You do not need to work with electrical wires, the max wattage is the same as the outlet you plug it into and it is compatible with ittt, Google, and Alexa! The icing on the cake is that it has an accurate energy meter built in. It doesnt update often enough for you to do Gamer Nexus total system power charts but you can get a good idea of your systems energy requirements. My roommates and I have a challenge to see who can use the least energy with our gaming rigs. Last month I used 36kw while they use 72kw! Every little bit helps. I only wish I could measure appliances as well.

> 24 hourIve been able to track how much energy that several utilities use, these have been handy in tracking down what makes the bill higher.

> 24 hourThese devices are very convenient for short term checking of energy usage. I ran into the same issues as everyone else with the devices randomly rebooting into an OFF state, so do not depend on these unattended.

> 24 hourWhat I was looking for from the Energy Monitor is that it drew power from 10:32:15 to 10:32:23 (e.g. 8 seconds). And then again between 13:32:15 to 13:32:28, and then again between 20:32:15 to 20:32:28. I’m more interested that it DID draw power – when - and for how long - as opposed to how much TOTAL power it’s consumed in a day - which is what this does. E.g. Your computer sucked 20kW today – BAM – it’s got that if that’s what you want. I’ve never lived anywhere with a sump pump before and it’s been running a lot lately. Just looking to be sure it runs ‘sometimes’ without making a trip to the basement every day… I had an ice block of the outlet outside recently, and was probably REALLY close to flooding my basement. Woke up to it running and splashing because it couldn’t discharge with the outside ice in the way. If it’s run for more than 15 seconds… I HAVE A PROBLEM, and that’s what I’m trying to solve. So this is great for what it says it will do… and for that it gets high marks, I probably just read too much into it and will probably have to program my own IFTTT ;).

> 24 hourI typically dont write reviews, but this is the worst item that I have purchased on Amazon. The 1st one would not hook up to the internet. The second one finally connected to the internet but continually shuts off after 2 minutes even though I have the timer set for 15 minutes. Dont waste your money on these power monitors.

> 24 hourWhat I like most about these WiFi enabled smart electrical plugs is that it has all the features that the others have, plus what I really need is to be able to monitor your energy usage. Very helpful when trying to determine if an appliance is starting to go bad, when you see the energy use increases.

> 24 hourI love these, I can View energy usage, turn appliances on and off, set schedules and timers.. all from my phone. I can now control appliances at my house like coffee pot, electric blanket, patio and light stringers in a way I couldn’t before. Can now set my coffee pot the night before, and set to turn off my sons entertainment center in the middle of the night every night, he often falls asleep with it on. Definitely makes my home more efficient. Definitely recommend.
