I get hot, in a sweaty, uncomfortable, are you ok? kind of way. I saw a lady who was, likely, in her third trimester of pregnancy in a store wearing a neck fan. Typical hot summer, and she was likely overly hot with the pregnancy. Been there. Not fun. But her neck fan was an awesome idea, and, where do you go to find something thats not likely in a store nearby? Well, Amazon! My search showed that there were a lot of neck fans to choose from, so I needed to find features that I liked. I thought a fan was nice, but then this unit was also an air conditioner with a cooling plate on the back. That seemed intriguing, and possibly worth the higher price. I could return the item, so I decided to purchase with little to lose. I read reviews and found that most were positive; the negative reviews seemed to be more user issues or misunderstandings of product features. I received the item and found it came with a soft slipcover case and charging cord. I charged it up and read the directions. After charging I turned on the unit. The unit starts up with a low fan, with each time pressing the button the fan increases: first low, then medium, then high, then off. Each fan setting was nice, though I felt that low was very comfortable. Then I turned on the air conditioner or cooling plate on the neck nape section. To turn on the cooling plate, I turn on the unit then hold down the button to turn on the cooling plate. I found that reaching the button while the unit was on wasnt comfortable for me. The button is in a suitable place, and I use the L-R directions to put the unit on my left and right sides, but I find its easier for me to remove the unit to turn it off and on. Itd be awesome if the unit could be controlled with a smartphone/bluetooth. Turning on the cooling plate and setting it on my neck, I can instantly feel the cold plate, and it feels soooooooo nice! I dont know how I can measure to cool down by 18°F in 3 second, but I believe it. I really get hot and flushed sometimes, and I turn this on and turn on the cool plate. Its cooling me down *as soon as* I put it on. It does work and it works *fast*! I like that the fan is bladeless, so my longer hair does not get tangled up on this unit. There are three things Im not liking about this unit: 1) I would like the cooling plate on without the fan; 2) I would like to have the battery last longer; and 3) I would like to have the fan be a little lower/adjustable as to air direction. As for 1), the product questions, the manufacturer addresses this issue, saying the two work together. As for 2), I really havent had the battery die on me. I didnt address battery life, but, with the cooling plate, I understand it only lasts about TWO HOURS. I dont use it that long, so battery life just isnt an issue for me! As for 3), Im still on the fence as to whether this is an issue for me or not. If Im hot, the air is helpful to provide some air movement around my face/head to cool me off. I suppose itd be nice to be able to adjust where the air flows on the unit somewhat, but, ultimately, this is something that Im okay with because Im highly satisfied with the unit. So, all in all, theres some negative reviews on this product, and the price point is higher for it, which is another detraction. But, my experience with this unit is that it works fantastic and does what it says. I am not sure if I (yet) get hot flashes, but this unit cools me down when I get overheated. I dont use it at the gym/workout, as Im not sure how it could handle my sweaty workouts, but Ive been tempted to try it! I also dont use it all the time, so I have not challenged the battery life, but, really, my use of this product wont be to test its limits. As for rating it for travel: I havent traveled with it, yet, but I intend to use it the next time I travel. All in all, this product does what it says it does. I love it so much, I am tempted to buy the Coolify 2 since it has two cooling plates and can provide heat, too. This product is worth it!

A bit louder than other ones and very expensive for what it is. There are alotvless expensive ones that do the same thing.

Edit* I give the company 5* for their customer service. I messaged them to ask for assistance given how much we spent and the fact the fan broke after 8/9 months. They were very helpful and sent us a replacement. If the new fan lasts more than the last one I’ll change the rating to 5*. Bought this and loved it at first. Less than 6 months of use and it was “loud” yet still worked. Now two months later it’s so loud you can’t use it. Waste of money and for the amount it cost I’d expect more from a product.

I got it because I work outside in the south. I still sweat profusely but it makes me not wanna kill myself. Very durable too. Doesnt actually blow out cool air. The metal plate gets cold on your neck though. About to get one for my mom!!

I purchased this for travel on airplanes. There is nothing I hate more than feeling hot stale air when youre stuck on a flight. Its all I can focus on and then I start to feel ill. I purchased this fan with high hopes and Im so happy to report that it worked so well that I actually got cold on my flight. I needed a hoodie and for my return flight I only used the lowest setting. I can also report that the noise level will not disturb your neighbors. It will last an average flight just fine, but if youre traveling say internationally, youll probably run out of battery. On the plus you can use a USB to charger while using it so if your seat has a port then youre good to go. Overall, Im glad I purchased it and it will be my traveling companion from now on.

UPDATE in 2022: I have version 2 and still like this one. BUT...one year later and the cooling plate heats up where its not supposed to. When I want a blast of cool, I feel hot plastic on my neck. This is very unfortunate as it worked great prior. At this point, its only useful as a fan with the cooling plate off. ORGINAL REVIEW: I took this on a 10-day trip planning to return it after trying it outdoors and not feeling cooler. I’m so glad I kept it. Pros: Stylish Comfortable Quality *rattling noise on occasion. Shake to fix. [Update: The replacement didnt have this issue] Not too loud Cooling plate Great for indoors and shaded areas Great in hot cars until the A/C kicks in Acts as a defogger for shield masks Long-lasting battery if on low Cons: I didn’t feel anything from this on a hot day outside Rattling fan noise on occasion straight out of the box [Update: The replacement didnt have this issue] Cracked near the cooling plate. Returned it for an exchange. Key Moments During My Vacation with This: At times my body temperature rose while seated indoors. I kept this around my neck all day so I was able to just turn it on briefly. It didn’t disturb anyone. When getting In and out of vehicles that needed time to cool, this served me well. On my trip in the airport and back, I had a face shield and mask on. Were it not for this, my mask would’ve fogged. The airline didn’t object. I put it through TSA check and all was well. Update: I’ve worn this at a Broadway show also. It made it through security check there and wasn’t a disturbance. Once my body cooled, I turned it off. Also another update: I noticed a crack (pictured) 3 days after the return window closed. I was able to return it via a call to Amazon. I wondered if as we are looking at cooler temps whether I wanted to purchase this again as I know it’s overpriced. But I did because I like it. Maybe one day someone will invent one that’s properly functional as a portable, wearable cooling system. I’ve yet to find a viable one. Conclusion: This is expensive but worthwhile IF using indoors, in shaded and/or not very hot and humid areas. If it’s for the latter, I don’t recommend it.

Although the colder air conditioning is concentrated at the neck contacts it helps evaporated the perspiration on my face making it possible to work in the hotter climes for a longer time. Recharging is quite short.

Purchased this for an upcoming trip to Disneyworld, which is many times hot and super humid. Loads better than the plastic fan-on-a-string that weve used the past 6 years at the parks. Purchased 4 of them (1 for each family member). Like that it has 3 fan settings, the super cold back of the neck cooler, and has no moving blade. I have long hair and it was not an issue, another plus. Well have to see how it works, if the battery life lives up to the description and how well it works in the Florida heat. Updates to come...

Absolutely LOVE this! Im sensitive to heat & living in Hot Georgia this is ESSENTIAL for me. However, after 15mo of DAILY use, within a day the medal strip that gets cold bubbled up in one corner & started burning. Looks like battery acid did it. Had to throw it away, but Ill still be buying a new one, I Love it THAT much! I just hate to spend another $149

I received the coolify personal air condition at it looks amazing. Its like something from a sci-fi movie. Unfortunately, the one I received malfunctioned. I contacted customer services and Bonnie replied promptly. Bonnie even called me LONG DISTANCE from China to speak to me. She was very polite and extremely knowledgeable. She made sure to address all my concerns. Great product and AMAZING customer service! If youre looking for a personal cooling unit, this is the best. Especially since they guarantee their product.
