Greater than one weekSo I have used my new coolify for about 3 weeks now in very hot humid conditions. I do lawn care so I put mine to the test. The first use it was very hot 93 degrees plus humidity was high. I had it on cool mode with fan on high. The battery died when I finished mowing on my lawn tractor which took about an hour 45 minutes. The next day it lasted over 3 hours using cool mode medium fan. The 3rd experience it was cooler outside and cloudy so I used mainly fan mode medium speed and cool mode while trimming. I tried mowing without it after using it and there is a big difference. Although I didnt feel like I was in house ac as some seem think this would or should when they think air conditioning....this does keep neck cool and just in fan mode keeps air moving on sides of your head. I do wish the battery lasted alot longer but it is way better then I even expected. One thing is I wish there was some sort of way to keep it more firm around neck as way u move doing lawns it tends to slide to the side and have adjust now and then. I do like it and may purchase one or 2 in future so I have a couple charged up ready to go lasting all day. Longest it lasted me was about 5 hours on a charge alternating could mode and fan only no higher than medium speed

> 3 dayWhoever designed this thing definitely hates men with long beards. My beard hair keeps getting plucked away by the many crevasses and unpolished seams this device has. At first, it was a tad annoying. Now I feel a genuine fear of getting plucked when I least expect it. With that said, Here are my pros and cons. Pros: 1-The AC mode is pleasant and effective. 2-Lightweight and comfy. You forget you are wearing it unless of course, the demon that lives inside wakes up hungry and decides to feast on your beard hair while savoring on your pained screams. 3-Relatively quiet on low speed. Cons: 1-Many unpolished seams and holes which is a pain if you have long beard. But even if you don’t, it makes it look a bit cheap. 2-No bigger battery option. 3-Loud on medium to high setting. 4-The cooling surface area could be a lot Larger and cooler. 5-AC mode disengages after only 30 minutes. You can then it back on. But that will probably be unkind to your battery and it’s life. 6-Too expensive for what it does. Icing a towel and wrapping it around your neck will achieve similar results. Suggestions: Double the batter life. Double duration of AC mode. Use softer edges so they hair doesn’t snag.

> 3 dayPurchased this for an upcoming trip to Disneyworld, which is many times hot and super humid. Loads better than the plastic fan-on-a-string that weve used the past 6 years at the parks. Purchased 4 of them (1 for each family member). Like that it has 3 fan settings, the super cold back of the neck cooler, and has no moving blade. I have long hair and it was not an issue, another plus. Well have to see how it works, if the battery life lives up to the description and how well it works in the Florida heat. Updates to come...

> 3 dayAfter looking at a ton of neck fans and reading the reviews, I came across this bad boy. More expensive than the counter products by a fair margin but with the active heat sync/cooling on the back of the neck it was worth every single penny! I used it for five days walking around all of the Disney parks and it worked like a champ to keep me cooler and way less annoyed about being all sweaty. Other reviews are correct in that the battery will not last very long if using on full blast with cooling constantly. My solution to that was to bring a power brick with me and every time I was in a ride line that FINALLY made it from outside to inside, I just plugged that sucker in and let it recharge for the next run/walk to the next looooonnnng ride line. Seriously saved my kids and companions from dealing with me being a huge grouch! Worth the price! Bring a battery pack to recharge when not out in the heat.

Greater than one weekI got this because I got tired of fooling around with cheaper alternatives (Ill admit getting my tax refund helped in the decision). I have no tolerance for the heat. In fact, Ive decided this year that outdoors is bad and I have no reason to go out there (not even with this as protection). As other reviewers have noted, this doesnt feel like AC. It feels like a cool washcloth on your neck, minus the moisture. Which is still preferable to the cheaper fans that only blow existing warm air on you. Its quiet enough to wear while I work on the computer. This might seem a bit overpriced, but it is very heavy and well made, with what feels like ceramic and metal rather than plastic. It feels like an appliance, not an accessory. I still feel its a bit overpriced, but when youve had it with the heat, money feels like less of a consideration.

Greater than one weekThis product definitely keeps me cool at work. The battery lasts all day so far. Its esthetically pleasant so it doesnt look weird. Its not an air conditioner but i think its gunna be a minute till we have the technology to shrink down an air compressor to the size that it would need to be for a wearable air conditioning unit. This is the next best thing in my opinion.

> 3 dayThis has great battery life and is great for traveling and not tangling your hair but you do feel the weight of it after a little while, I also have a lower price and lighter weight one which I switchout with this one but this one works fine but a little bit pricey when you can find cheaper versions that work just as well.

Greater than one weekThe humidity in Florida sucks and everyone knows it, especially in summer. But this thing works so well that I even bought a second one in white for when Im not wearing dark colored clothes so I can look more fashionably conscious. CONS: - The fans are pretty loud if youre in a quiet indoor setting like your home but pretty quiet when youre in a loud environment like outside, in a social area, or near traffic. - The case it comes with isnt shock proof or waterproof, its just a fabric sleeve that you put over it to protect it from dust. So keep that in mind. - If you use fan speed one most of the time it can get annoying when you need to turn it off occasionally. The device beeps every time you change a speed and/or enter AC mode. The beeps are nice feedback to let you know the device has successfully entered a new mode, but I wish there was a quicker and more convenient way to turn it off. Right now, the only way to turn it off is to go up to fan speed 3 and then press the power button again to turn it off. PROS: - The AC mode really works! - While the back plate wont stay cool in the heat in fan mode, it will cool down quickly and stay cool once you turn on the AC mode. The device is on fan mode by default every time you turn it on. - The fan speeds are great and I find myself using 1-2 most of the time. I only really use speed 3 if its particularly hot or I havent used it while outside for a while. - Air circulation and breeze combats the humidity that makes it feel waaaaay hotter outside than it really is. The AC mode combats the actual heat. Its a win-win. - Its very easy to use and the battery life on this thing is outstanding. You wont need to charge it after using it all day long. Not sure how long the battery actually lasts though, but its already going on day 3 with no charge. - Its bladeless so your hair and accessories wont get caught up in it. Plus, if you have kids, they wont hurt themselves on it. - It blows downward as well as upward and is adjustable so its not blowing directly into your eyes (or into your face if you dont like that sort of thing). - Its lightweight and a convenient size to put in a bag or backpack when not in use, and also comes with a fabric sleeve to put it in to protect it from dust (but not much else sadly).

> 3 dayIm a postal worker in California, and the days are quite hot, I tried this item out I am not impressed with it.. I would have to say its not designed for continuous use in hot environments. I had it fully charged and it lasted about 2 hours on the highest fan speed. It did get cool but the cooling kept shutting off after some time. The device would emit 1 beep. I will be returning it as its not worth $160. Update im still pondering returning it, but I used it on medium power and it lasted longer. And cooled more efficiently. Stand by for further updates. Update 2 I have decided to keep it, it works great on medium power and lasts about 4 hrs. It does bring relief when its hot. But to be fair it doesnt do well at Temps 104 and up.
