> 3 dayI dont have a lot to compare with since I tried this and the Coolify 2. I prefer this over the Coolify 2 since this can open up vs wrapping tightly around my neck like the Coolify 2. The cool plate works well. Its nice ice cold but will definitely cool you with the fan on. I use this while im working in my office when i dont have the AC on. The weight isnt too bad and can be worn maybe an hour or 2 at a time. Overall, I do like even though its priced higher than most neck fans on the market.

Greater than one weekWorked fine. Bought it for Motley Crue Stadium Tour Concert. Was in the heat from 3pm til 11pm. Used it on and off. Was 105 degrees on the field. Definitely helped keep somewhat cool. Air was not real cool in that heat but any air was welcomed. Recommend buying.

> 3 dayI get hot, in a sweaty, uncomfortable, are you ok? kind of way. I saw a lady who was, likely, in her third trimester of pregnancy in a store wearing a neck fan. Typical hot summer, and she was likely overly hot with the pregnancy. Been there. Not fun. But her neck fan was an awesome idea, and, where do you go to find something thats not likely in a store nearby? Well, Amazon! My search showed that there were a lot of neck fans to choose from, so I needed to find features that I liked. I thought a fan was nice, but then this unit was also an air conditioner with a cooling plate on the back. That seemed intriguing, and possibly worth the higher price. I could return the item, so I decided to purchase with little to lose. I read reviews and found that most were positive; the negative reviews seemed to be more user issues or misunderstandings of product features. I received the item and found it came with a soft slipcover case and charging cord. I charged it up and read the directions. After charging I turned on the unit. The unit starts up with a low fan, with each time pressing the button the fan increases: first low, then medium, then high, then off. Each fan setting was nice, though I felt that low was very comfortable. Then I turned on the air conditioner or cooling plate on the neck nape section. To turn on the cooling plate, I turn on the unit then hold down the button to turn on the cooling plate. I found that reaching the button while the unit was on wasnt comfortable for me. The button is in a suitable place, and I use the L-R directions to put the unit on my left and right sides, but I find its easier for me to remove the unit to turn it off and on. Itd be awesome if the unit could be controlled with a smartphone/bluetooth. Turning on the cooling plate and setting it on my neck, I can instantly feel the cold plate, and it feels soooooooo nice! I dont know how I can measure to cool down by 18°F in 3 second, but I believe it. I really get hot and flushed sometimes, and I turn this on and turn on the cool plate. Its cooling me down *as soon as* I put it on. It does work and it works *fast*! I like that the fan is bladeless, so my longer hair does not get tangled up on this unit. There are three things Im not liking about this unit: 1) I would like the cooling plate on without the fan; 2) I would like to have the battery last longer; and 3) I would like to have the fan be a little lower/adjustable as to air direction. As for 1), the product questions, the manufacturer addresses this issue, saying the two work together. As for 2), I really havent had the battery die on me. I didnt address battery life, but, with the cooling plate, I understand it only lasts about TWO HOURS. I dont use it that long, so battery life just isnt an issue for me! As for 3), Im still on the fence as to whether this is an issue for me or not. If Im hot, the air is helpful to provide some air movement around my face/head to cool me off. I suppose itd be nice to be able to adjust where the air flows on the unit somewhat, but, ultimately, this is something that Im okay with because Im highly satisfied with the unit. So, all in all, theres some negative reviews on this product, and the price point is higher for it, which is another detraction. But, my experience with this unit is that it works fantastic and does what it says. I am not sure if I (yet) get hot flashes, but this unit cools me down when I get overheated. I dont use it at the gym/workout, as Im not sure how it could handle my sweaty workouts, but Ive been tempted to try it! I also dont use it all the time, so I have not challenged the battery life, but, really, my use of this product wont be to test its limits. As for rating it for travel: I havent traveled with it, yet, but I intend to use it the next time I travel. All in all, this product does what it says it does. I love it so much, I am tempted to buy the Coolify 2 since it has two cooling plates and can provide heat, too. This product is worth it!

> 3 dayEdit* I give the company 5* for their customer service. I messaged them to ask for assistance given how much we spent and the fact the fan broke after 8/9 months. They were very helpful and sent us a replacement. If the new fan lasts more than the last one I’ll change the rating to 5*. Bought this and loved it at first. Less than 6 months of use and it was “loud” yet still worked. Now two months later it’s so loud you can’t use it. Waste of money and for the amount it cost I’d expect more from a product.

> 3 dayI got this because I got tired of fooling around with cheaper alternatives (Ill admit getting my tax refund helped in the decision). I have no tolerance for the heat. In fact, Ive decided this year that outdoors is bad and I have no reason to go out there (not even with this as protection). As other reviewers have noted, this doesnt feel like AC. It feels like a cool washcloth on your neck, minus the moisture. Which is still preferable to the cheaper fans that only blow existing warm air on you. Its quiet enough to wear while I work on the computer. This might seem a bit overpriced, but it is very heavy and well made, with what feels like ceramic and metal rather than plastic. It feels like an appliance, not an accessory. I still feel its a bit overpriced, but when youve had it with the heat, money feels like less of a consideration.

Greater than one weekI just received this in the mail today. I was getting ready to use it and was peeling off the “Getting Started Quick Guide” and as you can see it started to pull off the gold paint. For something that costs this much, something as cheap as adhesive should not pull off paint. It makes me wonder if the rest of the item is built cheaply. Hmmm? My impressions right now are more guarded and waiting to see what else will go wrong. This is not a good way to start. I am also wondering if I should just return it for a refund. Sigh. I was looking to be impressed, but wasn’t.

> 3 dayIt works well; battery life is sufficient. The weight is sufficient (any lighter, & it might slide around while I’m in motion), but I think it’s priced too high!

> 3 dayThis neck fan stopped working on one side and I had only had it for 7 months (outside of the warranty). I contacted the company and all they could offer me was 10%off of the new version which cost a whopping $250. But dont tell anyone because thats an employee discount that they are not supposed to shared with anyone. NO SIR, NO THANK YOU, I WISH I WOULD GIVE YALL ANOTHER RED CENT. Only for it to brake a year later. IM GOOD. This neck fan is very heavy around the neck but that didnt bother me, only until the battery died. Then it made me even hotter. The air blows up your neck and the sides of my face. It was not as effective as the neck fans that blows air towards my face. The cooling system is nice but kills the battery, after that, the fan is useless (4hrs tops). If you dont have the huge, bulky case to store the fan in, you can risk breaking it. Its not ideal for someone who does not have a desk job that can easily access the case at all times, once the battery dies. The fan last longer if you dont use the ac part, but once the fan dies (6hrs), it feels like a hot heavy weight being carried around the neck. So if you dont have the case on your person, you have to choose between wearing the hot weight around your neck or risk breaking it. Its a nice concept but its too delicate and too expensive for what you get compared to cheaper neck fans. I still have no idea why one side of mine stopped working. All I wanted was a replacement, since its been last than a year. But I will not buy another.
