I went from what was supposed to be a high end WiFi router, to the TP mesh system. My previous tri-band did not preform half as good as the TP mesh system. I pay for 500Mbps and was only running at tops 300mbps on a good day, with minimal other system connections. Now on the TP mesh system everything is running in the high 400’s to over 500 mbps. With over 20 things connected. I LOVE this system. And it was cheaper than the so-called high end router I was running. I HIGHLY recommend this system. Super easy to set up.

I bought a set of these and immediately fell in love with them. They are super simple to setup (like a few minutes), I recommended them to my parents, and my mom was able to quickly upgrade their old router and remarked how easy it was. Its great to have a product that just works seamlessly without having to fiddle endlessly with any settings. Provides really good coverage and fast reliable internet.

I have a total of five Deco M5s for our country property. I have one in my shop and another by the pool area as well as in the house. I purchased the wall brackets and that seems to help with the heat. I noticed the units themselves get a little warm. The brackets help with ventilation/circulation. Its working well. So far so good. I would recommend.

    1. App great with cool features until there is a problem then it isn’t much help 2 great signal 3. Completely stopped working one day. I always kept software up to date and did occasional reboots - then 1 day it just dies. All 3 units have the red light. (Which I read means some internal failure) 4. Purchased 9/2020

We have purchased 2 netgears, the first one was giving us problems so we figured it was the router. So we purchased the Netgear Nighthawk just a few months ago. Well no luck it would not connect to our phones again after leaving the house. We would have to reset it every time. I was told to try the Deco M5 and I must say it’s been perfect. Not one problem, I would suggest this router to anyone looking to purchase. Thank you for making my life simpler.

I decided to try a mesh, not because I have a huge home, but because I wanted to improve connectivity. This system has done that. Ive gone from a 70 percent signal in my living room, to a 90 percent, and its like that for the whole house. Installation was a breeze except for an issue when I first tried to install it. Luckily, I found a video online and some useful tips that corrected the issue I had. I couldnt get the first one to connect to the Internet. The solution was to use a different unit. After installing the first one, the other two were as easy as pie. I highly recommend watching the companys video before installing. It could save you a bit of time. Likely, the only problem you will have will be the same one I had, and there are two things to try which ought to work.. After installing, I had great connectivity throughout the house. Ive been using it for a couple of weeks now, typically with more than 20 things connected at a time to my network, and have experienced zero issues. (Tip: once installed, download a wifi signal strength app and use it to adjust the individual units. Each unit has four antennas, so spinning the unit around a bit can make a good signal even better for a given location) I only wish I had done it sooner.

I purchased this product to replace our Cox panoramic WiFi which left us with dead spots and dropped WiFi throughout our home. The Deco mesh system was extremely easy to set up with the instructions and app. Although our home is only 2100 square feet, I chose the system that could handle 5500 because of the unusual foot print of our home. We now have full WiFi coverage from the street to our rear fence and throughout our home. The app is easy to use and has great features. Our download speed is always above 280 even in our yard. The only thing that is not mentioned in the instructions is to update the deco after installation. That is easily done through the app and updates the WiFi security as well. We’ve had it for less than 24 hours but so far it’s the best WiFi router we’ve owned.

I did something quite different with this . have 2 building approx 50 yds and 25 yds from house. Internet is in the furthest building. Underground wire to house has gone bad and in the position right now to dig a new line So bought this and put a wireless router at the closest window to next building added the deco hub. went to next building added a Deco hub the in the house added last hub. I have perfect excellent signal in all 3 Buildings

Came across this product on Amazon based on reviews, as well as reading other reviews from websites outside of Amazon. Our internet provider fixed our internet by giving us their highest-level router, only for speeds to be slow, very inconsistent coverage around the house, and dead spots. These are issues we didnt have prior to them coming out (due to an animal chewing through the wire under the house). So I bought this Deco system because of its mesh system, not just an extender. I sent up the system as our new primary router, getting rid the so-called highest-level router from our IP. The set-up was a bit confusing, but more so because of me being indecisive on how I wanted to set up the system (either use Deco as an extender, or use it as our main wireless router). After a few trials and re-starting it a few times, the set-up was really easy. I just used the app to lead me through the process, setting up all three units across our 2600 sqft house. No more dead spots, super-consistent coverage with no drops, and internet speeds staying at what we ordered. All I wanted was a system to provide full coverage throughout our home so all my family member can do what they enjoy with no interruptions. This system so far has provided that.

One of the three would not accept the most recent firmware updates. Keeps dropping in and out of network effecting the remaining tethered satellite. Called customer service well live chat and steps they asked me to follow did not work. Returning item

Maximum wireless transmission rates are the physical rates derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications. Range and coverage specifications along with the number of connected devices were defined according to test results under normal usage conditions. Actual wireless transmission rate, wireless coverage, and number of connected devices are not, and will vary as a result of 1) environmental factors, including building materials, physical objects and obstacles, 2) network conditions, including local interference, volume and density of traffic, product location, network complexity, and network overhead and 3) client limitations, including rated performance, location, connection quality, and client condition. MU-MIMO capability requires both the mesh system and client devices to support MU-MIMO. Free lifetime subscription to TP-Link HomeCare is included with purchase on select TP-Link models at no additional cost. “Lifetime Subscription” refers solely to the life of the purchased device and cannot be transferred.
