> 3 dayWifi coverage is great. The UI is good. Whether it delivers speed expected is assuming xfinity is true to their advertised speeds. Ended up downgrading plan bc their gig line never got close to it.

Greater than one weekI tried using mesh routers as the means to have reliable WiFi throughout the house (it is not too large but there are multiple floors and has an odd floor plan). Not exactly a disaster but it was unreliable and mediocre performance. After trying multiple configurations, I opted to use Power Line Ethernet to route communications to the EAP245 locations in the basement. Placing the APs on a shelf and a bookcase, pointing up, solved all of the issues. There is now solid WiFi coverage on all bands throughout the house, garage, porches and, to a lesser extent, the back yard. These are solid devices, easy to configure and update, and they work!

> 3 dayIt frequently seems to lose signal strength, particularly with the repeaters/boosters. I have to reboot it about once a week.

> 3 dayI know this thing is pretty mature at this point, but it really lived up to its reputation online. Weve had a number of consumer-grade routers over the years and theyve ALL had their quirks, connection issues, etc. but the worst weve had is the bgw210-700 gateway that AT&T forces its fiber customers to use (and pay for monthly). It has terrible WiFi reliability and they wont let you run your own router without turning on double-NAT or other trickery. Enter the EAP245. Now Im able to turn off the WiFi on the AT&T box and all stability problems have disappeared. We have anywhere from 13-15 devices on WiFi, my wife is on Zoom all day, Im on VPN all day, and weve had zero connection drops or problems since. Just huge smiles on our faces. From what Ive read about this box, this is a feeling we should have forever. We have a one-story, 1200sqft ranch so signal issues are never a problem, but strength is good. I bought this device for its reliability so its not even ceiling mounted. Its just sitting on the table next to the router and signal is great. Highly recommended. Hopefully the firmware updates keeping coming after this much time on the market (I know V3 is newer but still). As for setup, I know thats been a controversial issue in other reviews, but I found it easy. I skipped the Windows controller and Android app (no thank you) and just connected to it directly over WiFi for setup. RTFM folks. The instructions are in the manual! Setup took about 15 minutes but only because after I updated the firmware I had to set all up again.

> 3 dayFor the price you can’t beat this unit. It won’t disappoint! Easy installation, and covers a fairly wide area. I’m using 2 throughout the house. Haven’t had any issues. So far so good.

> 3 dayIm using this as a standalone ceiling-mounted access point and Im happy with the performance. Good signal level and has been stable. The only difficulty I ran into is that I had to do a factory reset in order to make the admin web interface accessible for the first time.

> 3 dayI now have 3 of these in my home. Note: I do have the cloud controller and do recommend you getting one. Makes adding and monitoring really easy. I can now move through my property with strong signal in every room.
