Greater than one weekI am retired and do the IT work for my church. I have installed many wireless access points around our buildings. However, in my home our family room was on the fringes of our WIFI coverage. I was able to re-energize an abandoned Cat 5 cable to locate the TP Link EAP245 near the place where we use our tablets the most. It was the difference between night and day. We now have fast Internet service at our fingertips. I especially liked having the POE adapter packaged with the unit so I didnt have to purchase another item. It was very easy to install and is working very well. A low-cost alternative to a mesh network for the home.

> 3 dayPerforms decently for the price, no point in spending more as the more expensive Access Points perform no better than this one. The Omada software and customer support is garbage. If you ever encounter a problem you will regret putting the effort into setting this stuff up.

> 3 dayI have a 400 meg plan and what i get hard wired is the same i get with this WAP. Highly recommended. Easy to set up. Works great up to 400 meg. Havent tested anything past that so i cant comment.

> 3 dayI had my doubts trying a TP Link product as I usually favoured Netgear for all my networking needs. After a Netgear AP drove me around the bend with its slowness and terrible configuration problems I tried out the EAP 245. I was pleasantly surprised. The local web management is blazing fast, a start contrast to the Netgear which took a good minute or two to load each page. The EAP 245 was able to understand my VLAN configuration near instantly after I set it up with the right VLAN IDs and was flawless in picking up a dynamic IP with the VLAN DHCP server, something that the Netgear stuggled with. All in all the device does what its supposed to without any fuss. The quality is just OK, light plastic. For my needs - perfect. Minus a half a star for a little too simplistic local web GUI.

> 3 dayThis thing only works if it’s plugged into the power brick. That defeats the entire purpose of PoE. Could not get it to connect either even after I plugged it into the wall. Falsely advertised waste of time and money.

> 3 dayI bought this to upgrade my home WiFi, because my existing WiFi router could not be centrally located (due to wiring). I installed this high in my attic at the center of my single story home. The included POE adapter allowed me to complete the install using only a single network cable (which I already had in my attic). Once I set it up, I shut down my routers WiFi, and now I have a strong (and very fast) WiFi signal throughout my home and even outside. I discovered that my dual-band cell phones would automatically connect to the strongest signal, so I had to reduce the transmit power on 2.6 Ghz just a bit to force them to connect on the faster 5 Ghz band. Even with that adjustment, the 2.6 Ghz signal is more than adequate for all my legacy single band devices. This is a great access point. I have been using it for a couple of months with absolutely NO problems - highly recommend!

> 3 dayI am using the versatility of the Power over Ethernet (POE) to place the access points where there are no outlets. I have put the main one between the joists under the living room floor. I gave a middle of the road rating for Tech Support because I havent needed to use it.

> 3 dayWorks perfectly in an office environment, and then some. Setup took 3 minutes, mounting was a breeze on a ceiling tile.
