Great product. Using with my outdoor Bistro Lights. This is the only outdoor smart ‘dimmer’ product that I am aware of and it works perfectly. I have set up two programs – one for full brightness at dusk and then after a few hours, it dims and is at twenty percent brightness till dusk. So they work as security lights as well as I have these string lights running all along the fence. Note that the dimmer is good for lighting loads up to 400 watts which is plenty for a couple of string lights in series.

Used to signal around house when help was needed after breast cancer surgery. Love it! Exactly what was needed and we use it every day

As with all Treatlife products, this one works for the most part. Its easy to set up, works with the SmartLife app, powers on and off as expected, and dims. Ive had it installed outside for a week now in the rain for 2 of those days and have not had any problems. The first callout is one for all outdoor dimmers. Most are limited to 350 watts. This one is 400 watts - so better than most. I didnt notice that so unfortunately its not working as I would have hoped. I fixed the problem by running two dimmers each controlling half of my load. The second callout is a bigger issue. When the dimmer looses power (its unplugged or you have a power outage), it still powers on and off but does so at the lowest setting (18%). Therefore you have to make sure to set a routine to power on and then change the dimming level to the proper setting just incase youve lost power recently. To be clear, this only happens on loss of electric company power - not when the dimmer is powered on and off through normal means. I would get this again but would consider other ones if it met all my requirements and I knew it would hold its dimmer setting even after loss of power. Minus one star because its limited to 400w and minus a second because it wont remember settings.

I love that the app Smart Life has so many features to control these wifi devices. I currently own their switches (3-way, and single), outdoor and indoor plugs. I can schedule on/off, use timer and also create smart actions that can control multiple devices with one command. It is perfect for my usage. I have used this particular outdoor plug for Christmas lights and it has worked beautifully under snow, freezing rain and cold winds. I definitely recommend buying from this company.

0 to 100% dimming is a unique feature not found in others outdoor smartplug. Were using to control our smart light decoration for holidays. First test is halloween in 2 weeks. Construction of the plug is solid. Feel higher quality plastic. My Tuya app and google home pick it up w/o any problem. + for this package is that you have 2 plugs to schedule an play with.

Shocked that these things work so great for outdoor festoon LED lighting. They dim very smoothly and can be set up on the schedule reliably. The app is incredibly easy to use. Setup is a breeze. No clue if they will last durability wise, but for the price, very very impressed.

OK, some of the problem MAY be my inexperience with stuff like this, but Ive been using computers since the 1960s and I dont usually have such difficulty. The instructions were extremely unclear as to how to get the dimmer plug set up, and the venue was not easy to work within (I set it up where I planned to use it, in a wall outlet between some furniture. I probably spent 5 or 6 hours because it didnt operate the way I had eventually gathered/interpreted it should. Putting into pairing or discovery mode worked sometimes, and other times (if I failed to get it discovered) I had to unplug it and plug it in again (I think I had to. its hard to say.) Once that was done, connecting to Alexa was more of the same, and Alexa couldnt find it. The instructions were completely unclear, repeating things Id already done, etc. I tried chat support on my phone and the chatters instructions were impossible to follow while using my phone at the same time. Eventually it was the next day and they sent me some attachments but by then id gotten it working. But then I was prompted to download yet more software for it and that reversed the whole process. Back to square one, and more hours. Now its working and it works great, except the only way to control it is by phone, I gather. Cant do anything actually AT the device. Maybe this is all par for the course. Actually I hope so because I have not been willing to set up any other device because Im catching up with the things i didnt get done while trying to master this one. I do NOT think it is the device, but what I see as a basic incoherence and/or writing and chat communication ineptitude (yes, partly mine). What a nightmare.

Ive used a small handful of IoT products from this company- light switches, outlet plugs, timer plugs... so I felt like I knew what to expect when I got these. The outcome was better than I expected, though. While not altogether a super simple process, the Wi-fi pairing process was easier- at least it seemed so to me. The quality of the product itself was, to my surprise, quite superb. The plastic is hard and durable, and the cord is thick and also seemingly durable, allowing some pretty rugged outdoor use where needed. Of course, the switch is grounded, too, allowing for more safety in all scenarios. In my case, I have both being used indoors, but its nice, all the same. The controls are actually really nice, too. I particularly like the feature which allows the user to set a dimming limit. In other words, if you have it connected to dimmable LED lights, and those lights (as most do) have a tolerance limit at which they stop dimming, you can set the app to not be able to dim lower than that level. Honestly, the biggest downside on these things is that if you want to mount it, there is only one mounting hole for a screw... which is really not that bad, at all. One other thing to keep in mind is that the plug is a right angle. In other words, the cord goes immediately straight down. Its a VERY nice feature for looking discrete and saving space immediately in front of the outlet, but not hand if you have another plug on the same outlet that also is right-angled. Honestly, these are well worth the buck if you are looking for an outlet dimmer switch- whether you use it indoors, or out.

Many things are guaranteed for the Christmas season. One is that I will find my Christmas lights are still on in the morning. Not this year! As a happy owner of tons of Treatlife Single, 3-way, and Dimmer switches, it was easy to jump on this purchase. In our case, it should be noted, we have never used their software and cant comment on that part of it. We get it for the hardware and replace the firmware on day 1. It was no different with these two DP10 Outdoor Outlets. Whats next? Waiting on the ok to put up the Christmas lights after Thanksgiving.

Incredibly great smart plug for the price. They work with the other generic “dimmable” smart string lights that I also found on Amazon. Easy to install just like their bulbs, and syncs with Google Assistant. Just as good as a similar Kasa / TP-Link plug I have, but significantly cheaper which is why I’m giving this 5 stars.
