Tulip One-Step Tie-Dye Kit Kaleidoscope, 12 Colors Tie Dye

I love artistic projects and I think this item is going to be a lot of fun. I also discovered that even without tie-dying T-shirts look nice. You can spray over your hand written or drawn design in various shades and it works great. These are not sprays so the items would have to be transferred to a spray bottle, many of which are refillable. With this kit, you have to follow the step by step instructions to use properly and have the tie-dyed items come out the way you want. Also Id advise a protective sheet or one of those throws work men use to protect household items.

We had a lot of fun with this set over the summer. The colors are bright, each one comes with its own bottle, and a little bit goes a long way. The only downside is that there are a few colors less useful than others. Brown for one, hardly got used. This set is great though, it includes a sheet of basic ways to do different styles of tie dye. It also includes some rubber bands. We used this during a picnic, and ended up making quite a lot of stuff. We made 8 size small childrens tee shirts, several pairs of socks, several childrens tank tops, and two onesies. Its very messy, Id recommend doing this outside only, making sure you wear the gloves provided, with a plastic tablecloth covering your work area. The dyes stain easily, my hands ended up quite colorful. When prong the dyed clothes through the wash, they should be washed and dried twice before going through the wash with other clothes to prevent staining. All in all, a really fun set, easy to use. I definitely plan on getting another one!

Our very first experience with tie dye and could not be happier!!!! The tutorial pamphlet was very helpful and we had a ton of fun. NEED to ensure the caps are on snug before mix shaking! Found a few faulty caps which made a mess in my sink but cleaned up easy with bleach. Our colorstay was AWESOME! We cured the dye for approximately 24 hours before rinsing. Overall, I think I am now a tie dye ADDICT! Buying more!!!!

Love it! Easy to use and the colors are vibrant! My 7yr old twin boys and I were able to do 1 towel, 4 t-shirts, and 16 face masks with the kit.

Once you mix a color you MUST use it within 45 minutes or it loses its potency. You cannot save for another day / project. Also, SUPER BIG is misleading...the amount of clothing/ items you can dye is really dependent on the size. If you are doing size large/ XL or bigger it only does 2-5 shirts OR LESS (again dependent on amount of colors and design you want - the more colors and the bigger the design the less items you will be able to do). Plus you are stuck with colors you really dont need or want and are wasted. I did one shirt size 3X with 6 colors and did not have enough to do a second and now am stuck with brown, black, red, lime, yellow and green colors that I really cant use. This kit would be good for a kids play date or party. If you are planning on experimenting or doing a lot of dyeing on different projects you would be better off getting the individual jars of powder and measuring & mixing as needed.

This package was great. I bought a bus tub (like in restaurants) and a strainer (for cooling pizza) at my local restaurant supply store because I wanted a safe container to use to dye in and the diameters were perfect. I only ended up using 8/12 colors to die three 4x Hanes v-neck t-shirts to wear for sleeping. There was plenty of dye even when I only used two bottles per shirt although if it were double, I would have had more vivid colors. I *do* like how the colors came out. I didnt try any of the methods in the kit on techniques but did research looking for examples of what I wanted to beforehand. The plastic tarp sheeting was the perfect size for the space I had (I did this indoors in my laundry room) and I just needed to wrap everything up and toss it in the trash when I was through. Cleanup was a breeze, the dye didnt get on my skin although I used professional latex gloves that I already owned. (I never use the gloves that come with hair dye either.) The only pain about the whole process was the actual rinsing of the t-shirts. I probably had to rinse about a dozen times in cold, another dozen in warm and then perhaps half a dozen in hot to get to a light murky color. I didnt expend more energy to get clear water. The colors have stayed true and I have washed the shirts several times on their own in warm water and with a set of blacks because my fabric softener wasnt getting the t-shirts soft enough.

Great value for price! Weve used the Tulip brand before with good results. 3 stars because the inside packaging was damaged which allowed product to roll around inside the shipping box. Product didnt appear damaged but could not have used as a gift if that had been the plan. We havent used these yet.

Great product. The instructions where nice and easy. Great color options and I liked that it came with gum bands, gloves and a plastic table cloth. Definitely will buy again once Im done using all the colors. The package isnt super well made in that it was open when I got it. So I understand the complaints about that and people that bought it as a gift. But nothing in my order was damaged. After dying. I let it set for 12 hours. Hand rinsed in cold water. Hung to dry. Hand rinsed in hot water then directly in to washing machine cold cold cold no soap. They held color very well! Hope this helps!

i love all the colors that it comes with! even though i only used some of the selected colors, its cool to see that the box provides a bit more color just in case you run out of your favorites. The box includes the bottles, powder, gloves, and a ton of rubber bands to assist in your tie-dye magic.To make the colored powder last longer, I did not use the entire powder during my tie-dye use. I separated the powder into a tiny ziploc bag leaving just enough powder in the bottle. Itll probably be like a couple of teaspoons if I had to be kind of exact. Next I filled it up with some water and bam, I was able to get the color to mix and used it all for my t-shirt. It wouldve been sad if I had used the entire powder for my tshirt, then I would have a ton of dye left over that Ill have to toss out.

Came completely fallen apart box ripped open. Otherwise the product is good and works the way it’s intended. It has a lot of different colors to the usual which is exactly what I needed.
