We used this kit to tie dye at my daughters 5th bday party. We did about 8 kids shirts and 10 adults. We had enough left for probably 2 more shirts. The dye is really vibrant and was easy to use.

Buying this kit was a no-brainer as I was searching for a simple kit with many color options, and pretty cost effective. Ill add some tips that will help your colors pop, and stay sharp wash after wash. Get yourself some organic urea nitrogen, and soda ash for dye. Both can be found here on Amazon under the Jacquard brand. Dick Blick has both of these items for considerably less cost, but I wanted everything to arrive at once so I ordered everything from Amazon! Step 1: Add two cups of the soda ash to two gallons of warm water, and dissolve. Be careful with this step as the fumes can be quite caustic. WEAR GLOVES. The soda ash will severely dry out your hands, and its just an unpleasant experience. Add items you wish to Tie dye to the water, and soda ash mixture, let sit for around an hour, be sure that items are thoroughly soaked. Step 2: since the dye is in 12, 4 ounce bottles, add only one half tablespoon of the urea organic nitrogen to the dye powder before filling with warm water, and shaking! Shake it up!! Shake it real good, yall! Now, your dye bottles are filled, your items are soaked, and your knees are shaking because you are ready to dye! Wring out all excess water from your items, and choose your design. This kit has a paper showing different designs, but YouTube is a great place to look up ideas! Now, if you wear any size shirt greater than a Mens large, I recommend doing the sunburst design, as it takes considerably less dye to cover, and saturate. Smaller items will look much better tie dyed, such as socks and underwear. As you can see in my photos. Finally, youve dyed all the things! Use plastic bags or saran wrap to wrap them each individually, never place two dyed items together or the colors will bleed into one another. This kits specifies to wrap for 8 hours, but I waited around 18 hours before unwrapping. Rinse excess dye out with COLD water, and wash on delicate, with cold water! Dry however you wish! I hung mine up to dry.

This set doesnt come with tshirts. Also make sure to prep to protect area from becoming dyed. Instructions were easy to follow. This is a great gift.

Bought this for a friend and we recently tye dyed a bunch of shirt and they all turned out super cute. Each bottle of dye can partially do 2 shirts if that makes sense. We used three colors on each shirt and we did six shirts and we could each use one color once.

I loved this set. Just add water and the dyes ready to go. The colors came out beautifully and complimented each other nicely. It came with easy to follow instructions & tips, rubber bands, gloves (8 pairs), and a plastic bag or two to put your shirts in while they dry. Its a great kit. Also, they say to use the dyes very soon after adding water or theyll lose vibrancy. That seems to be somewhat true but it doesnt mean the extra is worthless. I left older dye on a little longer and it just makes for a slightly diluted, but not horribly faded look.

Love it! Easy to use and the colors are vibrant! My 7yr old twin boys and I were able to do 1 towel, 4 t-shirts, and 16 face masks with the kit.

What a great kit! I used 6 of the colors so far and was able to tie dye 9 shirts, 3 sports bras, and 4 pairs of socks. We had a blast. This kit made it pretty easy. Just fill the squirt bottles to the line and shake to dissolve the color. Do the shaking carefully because some bottles didn’t seal very well. The instructions it came with worked, although I still had to check google for other questions. So the instructions could have been more through. Other than that I think this was a great value and a lot of fun!

Kinda fades with first wash. But it is really fun and easy to use. Just add water. Lots of colors and the pigments are pretty. I like the variety and colors, but I don’t like that the guide and instructions are so minimal (just the back of the cardboard) because it doesn’t have enough direction to be able to start without prior knowledge and experience.

Good price for what you get. There are plenty of rubber bands. Each bottle really dyes a lot of pieces. Plenty to go around if doing multiples. We didnt mix the bottle with water until someone wanted to use that particular color. We have bottles that werent used and saving for next time. When putting the dye on, sometimes less is more, as the saying goes. If you put a lot of dye, like some of ours were done, you still have tye dye, but the colors reach one another and there isnt any white left on the garment.
