Tulip One-Step Tie-Dye Kit Kaleidoscope, 12 Colors Tie Dye

> 24 hourThis was a pretty large sized kit. I got plenty of rubber bands and the big plastic sheet was very helpful. No soda ash was included, so you would need to buy that separately. Each bottle of dye should be mixed with cold water for bright, vibrant colors and hot water for more pastel and muted colors. Each bottle would dye up to 2 medium sized adult t-shirts if you saturated the shirts very well. If you were going for shirts with more white it may do 4 shirts. I would say if you were going to use every color in this set evenly, you could get about 20 well dyed adult medium t-shirts. That said, I did not use every color because I didnt like every color. But this was an excellent started set because of the cost of the bottles and rubber bands.

> 24 hourAs a tie-dye product, this stuff is fine. The colors are nice and vivid and you get a lot for your money. BUT, as I just spent half a damn hour on the phone with poison control trying to figure out the toxicity of this stuff, I WILL NEVER buy this brand again. There is no information on the packaging or insert about toxicity. Not only is there no information on their website (aside from how to buy more of their products) about what the dyes are made of, if theyre toxic, or what you should do if accidentally ingesting--they dont even have the decency to list a phone number or contact information aside from a generic email address. To be clear, I had a bottle spill, the cat decided to walk through it before I could clean it up, then he started licking his feet. I finally did a super broad google search of Tulip One Step and got some random ass phone number. Played press-button roulette for a few minutes, then was finally given a number for poison control. It took two separate people from poison control to find enough of a chemical inventory of the product to let me know that, Tulips dye recipe is a SECRET....but there is a general statement of its nonhazardous, so whatevs I guess. How fing hard is it to make an easily visible/accessible toxicity label?

> 24 hourSome of the colors were great! Now the green and red turned out blue and pink! Very disappointing because it was a Christmas shirt, I ended up making a different decal for it

> 24 hourThis is a really fun kit and perfect for making a few shirts. Really fun but can get messy. We made sure to try and use the colors up equally because otherwise you get stuck with the darker colors only. Just make sure youre wearing old clothes when you do this. Very fun, though and a nice activity to do on the driveway. Shirts wash well. I was worried about the colors going all over the place but they held up!

> 24 hourI made at least 12 small, 5 mediums and 2 larges mens crewneck tie dye shirts with one kit. We even had extra coloring because brown and black werent that popular. HOW DID I MAKE SO MANY SHIRTS?? Well.. Every time I saw 2/3 of a bottle left, I would refill it with more water. I did this only until the point where colors became see-through in the bottle! Judging from the final shirts, there was no problem with its depth in color. Good product, would definitely buy it again if I am doing a large-scale tie dye event. Note: This kit does not have soda ash powder. Definitely buy extra rubber bands and gloves.

> 24 hourThe kit itself was easy to use and worked well. However I received it with the bottom of the box ripped partially open and when we opened it up to do the tie dye it was missing the instruction booklet AND the plastic drop/table cloth - 2 very important items!! Really annoying to not have instructions when it was our first time using this kit. And also really annoying to not have the plastic table cloth to protect the table from the dye as tie dying is a VERY MESSY process. We proceeded anyway cause we had everything ready to go and I didn’t want to let my kids down by scraping it due to missing items. I had to use cut up trash bags as a drop cloth. Ugh.

> 24 hourThis was a great kit to use for a tiedyeing party we had! The colors are vibrant and have remained vibrant and colorful through at least the first few washes. Obviously each bottle is relatively small so you don’t get a ton of each color, but we were able to tie dye ~10 men’s size small/medium shirts and a few kids dresses.
