> 24 hourUNI-T AC Circuit Breaker Finder with Integrated GFCI Outlet Tester AC 90-120V USA Plug + Adjustable Sensitivity Beeper Indicattion+ Flashing LED Light this is a sweet little gadget! Wish I had one of these when I was still doing remodeling work. Back in the old days youd have to plug in a light, 5hem hollar over to your buddy wife for kid, generally from the basement, hey! did it go out yet? Nope. Not yet... None of that nonsense with this little guy. Basically no problems getting it to work You start at the highest sensitivity and it did beep on about 4 circuit breakers then you dial down the sensitivity and then it didnt beep at all then you dial it up a just a little bit and then it beeps on just one breaker. brilliant. Just brilliant. One thing I did notice though is I have a power strip plugged into a power strip plugged into another power strip and I put the transmitter into that last power strip and that did not show up at the panel. So it does seem To be better if you plug the transmitter directly to a wall outlet. Would absolutely recommend this.

> 24 hourThis kit takes the guesswork out of testing electrical outlets, and it speeds up circuit breaker identification by narrowing the possibilities to a manageable number. I only wish that the receiver wand was equipped with a signal strength indicator, for better accuracy while finding breakers. The plug-in outlet tester/transmitter works well, with bright lights that are easy to see. A color-printed decoding chart is conveniently included on the label, making it simple to interpret the results. The test button works as it should, causing my bathroom/garage GFCI outlets to trip immediately. The tester is ETL Listed, giving confidence that the kit is safe to use. The circuit breaker finding/receiving wand gets the job done, but it’s imprecise in operation. The wand tells you (with beeping and a flashing light) when it detects a signal from the outlet tester, but it’s either alerting or not, with nothing in-between. That’s not ideal, as on my electrical panel, the wand alerts on up to five breakers simultaneously, and adjusting the sensitivity doesn’t help. Having some indication of signal strength might narrow that down to one or two breakers, but this unit offers no such help. Overall, this is a decent testing/locating kit, but the wand could be better at telling you what’s going on. As it is, the kit can locate breakers to within a handful of possibilities, and that’s certainly better than nothing, but I had hoped for a little more precision.

> 24 hourGFI shows open ground always, very poor breaker identifier. Waste of my money. I bought the Kline tester, works perfectly. Stay away from this unit.

> 24 hourGot this to map out the electrical outlets for my new house when the electricians didnt bother to put the right info on the panel. This worked perfectly for every single outlet/circuit that I tried. This is really handy and Im really glad that I got it, even if I only need it for one use (if I labeled them all correctly). The only anomaly, there is an outlet that ZI feel is improperly installed, but when I plugged the receiver in to test the outlet, the two lights lit up green to say that the ground was fine. But when I plugged it in - the lights for the entire circuit shut down... Maybe the problem isnt with the ground, but I was sure that there was some problem that this should have detected. But I really love how simple and easy-to-use this is. It really is great. It even comes with a 9-volt battery, which I think is rare (in my experience).

> 24 hourWould like a version of this with a lightbulb type socket so I could trace all my in ceiling can lights as well, since the builder of my house didnt do so well marking EVERYTHING on the circuit panel in the baesment, so its always been a wild guess, if hitting the breaker for, say, the second bedroom will get the outlets in the hall outside as well or not. This at least lets me track more than I was able to before. So far weve had no issues. Its one time where having a son is convenient, since I can have him go room to room and outlet to outlet while I draw things out and track them in the basement.
