> 3 dayWould like a version of this with a lightbulb type socket so I could trace all my in ceiling can lights as well, since the builder of my house didnt do so well marking EVERYTHING on the circuit panel in the baesment, so its always been a wild guess, if hitting the breaker for, say, the second bedroom will get the outlets in the hall outside as well or not. This at least lets me track more than I was able to before. So far weve had no issues. Its one time where having a son is convenient, since I can have him go room to room and outlet to outlet while I draw things out and track them in the basement.

16-11-2024We had changed out our load center some years back and never got around to labeling the breakers, well thats not good. When you need to know, you often need to know at that exact moment, what breaker is what, so I took this thing and was able to quickly go from room to room or outlet to outlet and find the source breaker/circuit, now no more headaches when I need to find a particular one. This also makes a great NCV detector, so once its duties are done as a finder in the home it can still be helpful later on.

Greater than one weekI wish I had one of these a long time ago. It works for me. As long as you understand you need to start out with the receiver on high sensitivity them gradually decrease it to lower sensitivity (go from general to specific to zero in one the exact breaker), you should be fine. The transmitter device seems to be exactly like one I already owned and are sold by themselves. It may just send some kind of signal the receiver detects. If you have an old home with multiple wiring revisions done over the years, this is a kit that will save you a lot of time.
