Not the fastest safe to open but it’s the safest if you have kids

Definitely a good value for the price. It for sure helps organize all the items I need when traveling. My only criticism is the underlying foam for the top organizer has heavy duty adhesive. Be sure to have it lined up before install because it’s not coming off.

It does what I need it to do and it’s to keep the kids out

Lets rip this Band-Aid off. This is not a government approved anti-theft weapon security system. It is exactly as it looks. It is a portable lock box that is made to be protective enough without adding a lot of weight. It will be too expensive for the typical NRA radical that wants to both keep their gun on them at all times and still have it in an impenetrable safe because you are not the target (see what I did there?) audience. This is a very solid box that allows for good organization and quick access, while still providing enough protection for items that are kept on your person. The special edition includes an organizer that can be attached to the inner top of it. This is useful for storing some cash and possibly an ID or other papers. You also get a decent cable that runs through the box and can be mounted. This is not going to stop a motivated thief from taking the entire safe, but will slow them down. Compared to steel lock boxes and tradition gun safes, this is not going to outshine the competition for safety. It is going to outshine the competition, though. It is meant to be something that looks nice on a table. It is meant to be noticeable. Remember how I said it couldnt stop a motivated thief? You also wont go days without noticing it is missing. This is something that is best used to travel to the range or on a hike. It is not meant to be left in the office in the hopes nobody will break in and steal it. It is meant to give you time to chase after whoever tried to snatch your bag before they can get into it, but also allow quick access to what is inside it for the right person. As you might have guessed, this is a great solution for transporting a gun in the car. The cable will mount to the car pretty easily and there is more than enough room for a smaller gun and a couple spare magazines. It is great for locking up a gun for the night when on a trip. It is also rather handy if you are taking a hike and want a break from your holster on an open trail. It is great for a locker room while taking a swim when you already have your belongings padlocked, but just want that added bit of protection. This is where some of the typical expectations are sacrificed in an effort to be more portable and visually appealing. If you have the money to spare, I do recommend it. Make sure you know exactly why you are ordering. Do not buy this as an alternative to conventional gun storage. This is for travel and for that, it is great.

I haven’t even laid hands on one I can get into. The one I received was a return so the access code in the booklet didn’t work and customer support was absolutely incredible. They had a new unit in the mail before I could print off the return label for the original mix. It was also great to know they don’t have some master code to send out to reset the device. Will definitely get a few more for miscellaneous stuff.

Get the covert black x. It includes the pluck foam, crate foam, lid organizer, lanyard, etc for $95. I just got it but it appears to be a fine pistol safe.

Good for firearms owners that this safe is compliant with the TSA regs.

It should be made longer and little wider !!
