> 3 dayLikes: Portability, one-button-hold to lock, opens quickly, charging cable feature permits powering device in the event battery expires Fits compact or sub-compact. I am able to fit compact (w/ no attachments) plus additional mag. Room for improvement: - Advertised as “airtight, dust proof, water resistant” and it’s not. I have not left this in the rain, but dust and air are able to enter; it’s not airtight. Perhaps their newer models are better. - While I haven’t tried, I’m quite certain this safe can be easily defeated with a sledgehammer (it’s mostly plastic and the hinges seem weak). - The lid organizer add-on is a gimmick if you plan to use this to hold a firearm. I can fit my passport and that’s about it. If you do not plan to use this safe for a firearm, but to hold valuables, then I suppose the lid organizer would be handy. My only dislike is the price. I don’t feel the value received matches the price tag. If you’re looking for a small, portable safe, this a decent option.

16-11-2024I already knew this would be a great safe because I own the VTi. It’s perfect for the car and I’ve attached photos so you can see that a full size HK VP9 plus extra 17 round magazine fits as well as a Walther PPQ SC with either the 15 or 10 round magazines. Love the extra long security cable and can lock it down in my trunk. It’s perfect to deter smash and grabs and functions perfectly just like the bigger brother I own.

Greater than one weekReally loving this safe. Easy to operate and fits my items well. Have not tested water resistance but otherwise a nice vault.

> 3 dayI really like the LifePod. It is exactly what I expected it to be. I use it primarily as a firearm holder. I am still experimenting on other uses and when to use, but if a portable, lockableI, case is what you are looking for, it fits the requirements nicely. I have not dug deeper into how it meets TSA requirements, but from the overall quality of the product, I am confident it is not an isIt feels well built, radius’s are generous so it does not look blocky, foam is good quality, and it’s reconfigurable. I am quite happy.

> 3 dayBonus points if anyone gets the headline reference. Jokes aside this portable safe is awesome! Its the perfect size to secure, contain and protect my S&W M&P 9MM SHIELD PLUS as well as a couple extra mags. I also really like the optional strap that comes with it, I found it very useful as an attachment point to clip on my hearing protection ear plug holder. Registered it with the manufacturer on their website which was very simple and easy, they just needed the ID material off the safe itself and the Amazon order ID number. Unlocking this with the keypad is very satisfying, especially with the little lock popping sound when you enter your code.

> 3 dayOne of the Best gun safes in the business and was able to board airplane with no problems. I even dropped the safe down about 20 concrete steps, I was so afraid but safe barely had a scratch and it’s still functioning properly. A+ to the makers

> 3 dayPerfect to keep your subcompact/compact pistol away from your kids and for car storage when I cannot carry into a certain building. I wanted something that had a digital lock for faster access than something like a masterlock when it’s in the bedroom. Got the special edition cuz I love the olive drab color and I wanted the 4’ cable(which is thinner than I thought, but that’s okay) I have a super nice hiding spot in my car for it. I carry while driving normally so I don’t need fast access in my car. This could fit a compact but you can tell it’s meant for a subcompact. If I take out the fancy foam I can fit my shield with my extended 10rd mag along with an 8 AND 7 round mag (26 rounds of 9!) and a mag holder WITH my holster which is nice how I can throw my whole rig in there! Built well! The Manual key can unlock but not lock which is strange but not a dealbreaker. Don’t let these people that say it’s cheap plastic fool you. It’s a travel safe anyhow. Vaultek is quality.

> 3 dayI think this little safe functions as advertised. It’s more than adequate to keep my firearm away from my kids, which is why I bought it. I like water resiliency feature as I’m an avid Paddler. It’s true it’s not Fort Knox, but it is what I expected. Mine came with a cable and lanyard and ample internal padding as advertised. So far I’d recommend.
