> 24 hourIm very happy with this software. Installation was quick and easy. I opted NOT to install the QuickTime portion of the software, which shouldnt be an issue, as I plan on using the Easy Wizard mode only. So far Ive transferred two VHS tapes to DVD, and both look very good. Typically VHS film quality, mind you. But thats to be expected when your source is VHS. The transfers to DVD are perfectly watchable. The only issue I saw was a small wavy line appearing at the very top of the frame(s). However, this doesnt detract from enjoying the DVD transfer, in my opinion. (Im not sure if this is a VCR tracking issue or something that normally occurs during the VHS to DVD transfer). My VCR only has one Audio OUT jack. So this results in the audio being heard in one channel only, IF listening to the DVD with headphones. However, this should be rectified by using a 2-Female to 1-Male RCA Y-adapter connection (costs around $5 to $10). The sound will still be mono but at least it will be heard through both the left and right channels (when listening with headphones). All in all, I am extremely pleased I chose this product for my VHS transfers. (My operating system is Windows 8.1 with a 2.0 GHz processor).

> 24 hourMy experience with this product and the support team has been good. I found phone support to be excellent. A young man named Justin, clearly from North America, very polite, patient, articulate, knowledgeable and helpful. Then again, I am a bit more tech-savvy than most users, and I try to be polite to tech support people. Here are some caveats that I have learned. Make sure the little box has a good power supply. Best way to do this is to invest in a powered USB hub. If you have a lot of USB devices chained on your PC, the power may drop a bit to your devices, or so I have heard. I have a couple of powered hubs anyway, so I used one for this device. If your videotape/VCR combination is not producing a good, stable image, you are going to have video and audio problems with this program, such as the intermittent blue screen interrupt on video and ticking audio artifacts. What plays acceptably on your TV may not do here. I was trying to make a digital copy of a film I had recorded off cable many years ago, and I had the issues. Justin asked me to try a commercially-manufactured VHS movie, and the video issues immediately disappeared. As for my audio problems, mea culpa, I had the RCA audio cables in the wrong jacks on the back of the VCR. So far, the thing works OK for me.

> 24 hourEasy to install S/W and hardware. Had problems with the VHS conversion but could have been my equipment. Beta conversion to DVD went well after a learning curve. Users guide installs with S/W installation which is handy. Support answered my questions vis e-mail in a timely manner and helped with a problem. Read the Users Guide thoroughly before you start because capturing, editing, and burning can be tricky. Suggest use of DVD-RW when first burning project. Then if o.k. remaining discs can be burned using one time burn DVDs. That way cuts down on bad burns and discs that have to be discarded. Warning: My Sony Blu-Ray DVD player would not play DVDs with title and menus in content. Eliminating them did not bother me but it might some users. Did not try editing.

> 24 hourI have been pleased with this product. I had no issues connecting or installing the software to my computer. I have been able to edit my videos and add titles. I am far from being tech savy and found this to be easy to grasp. The process does take time, but for the cost I have converted over 20 vhs tapes to dvd. The quality of the new dvd has met my expectations and is fine for what I want. It sure beat $20 a tape to send them away.

> 24 hourGreat VHS ripping, great editing options, great dvd burning tools. Reviews that reflect poor quality reflect the quality and condition that the VHS tapes and VHS players are in. I tried three VHS players from Goodwill stores and the third one played the best. TIP: shop Goodwill and look for DVD/VHS combo players. These are the most recently produced VHS players and worked the best for me.

> 24 hourIve purchased other VHS to DVD programs in the past and have had issues with the audio being out of sync with the video. Im happy to have finally found one that doesnt have that issue. The videos I recorded were a bit choppy (which is why Im giving it 4 stars instead of 5) but other than that Im very happy with VHStoDVD.

> 24 hourI am LOVING this! I have VHS tapes that are over 30 years old. Ive tried transferring them over time but never really seem to get caught up (did I mention I have a LOT of tapes?). Ive used the GO VIDEO machine and that was nice but youre limited to just moving the video to DVD with no way to edit. And when the machine finally died, it was too expensive to replace and eventually almost impossible to find even used. Then I tried one similar to this product but no matter what I did, the video would not show up in the program so that didnt work. I just put the whole thing out of my mind until I came across this product. I figured with it being Amazon and Im Prime, I had nothing to lose. This is great because you have a simple interface for uncomplicated videos (all one thing and not longer than 2hr SP mode) and an advanced mode where you can do everything from stop recording so you can insert a new tape or fast forward to another section you want to record without recording whats in between and it saves each clip in a list to the right of the preview window) where you can even rename them on the fly - no need to open the folder where its being saved to edit the file name there, which is so less confusing and quicker. You can choose the quality and even the format (like mpg file or CD movie file or standard or long DVD file and more). You can even edit the video you transfer right from there or open a file outside to edit. You can set a timer, too. So if the tape runs 2 hrs but you only want the first hour, no need to watch the video. Set the timer and it will stop recording even though the tape continues to play! AND you can even export the files right from there to social media like Facebook! This also lets you create pix discs and audio files. Just choose which you want to do from the 4 very simple processes. Each is very easy to understand and it comes with excellent written and visual directions. The software disc is easy to install and it really is just the best! *Pix is of the advanced mode screen.

> 24 hourWorks Great. The only problem I had is I had to download the software. The software cd that came with is had a large scratch. Would not load the setup file due to the large scratch. I didnt care about the CD. Im just happy that I have this for my home videos.
