prettty good software that works with a lot of windows programs (Vista, Windows 7, windows 10 are what i used.), pretty easy to use. Much cheaper than having someone convert old vhs tape to digital.

This product works flawlessly, but it does not enhance the video in any way. I had hoped I would get a clear picture from my 8 millimeter tapes and micro tapes. The video I did get is acceptable and I assume the best possible on any device. My point is I would have liked it to be much clearer. That may be due to my tapes themselves and the video recorder or camcorder I was using

This works great. However sometime the device is not recognized and you have to unplug the USB and re-insert it only after the software tells you its not there. Then works great.

It does exactly what I wanted to do. I have been able to save my camcorder recordings on DVD and on my computer. I have been able to share the videos with my family as well.

Ive purchased other VHS to DVD programs in the past and have had issues with the audio being out of sync with the video. Im happy to have finally found one that doesnt have that issue. The videos I recorded were a bit choppy (which is why Im giving it 4 stars instead of 5) but other than that Im very happy with VHStoDVD.

Works as intended! Easy setup and connections between a VCR and computer enabled me to copy old home VHS tapes. Once copied to your computer, the files easily burned onto a DVD. Gotta copy them before the tape wears out - or the VCR breaks! One note of caution......my VCR as 3 different sets of audio/video jacks. It didnt work on the one set of jacks, but did for the other. Something to be aware of in case you encounter a problem during setup.

Pretty easy set up and use for a novice. Exactly what I was looking for. I was able to set it up and capture a video the I got it in the mail. I bought this to digitize a fairly large collection of home footage that has varying quality (some grainier, darker, lighter, etc.). Ive had it for about a month now and captured approx. 6 hrs worth of footage. I did end up scraping about 4 hrs worth because Im still playing around with the settings. Thats more my bad though, I should have waited until I had the software figured out. The only real problems Ive had thus far was shipping from the seller, an operator error on my part, and time to capture the footage.

The hardware Vidbox converter works fine in conjunction with the included software if you are converting in Easy Wizard Mode (without editing). If you do wish to do video editing using the Advanced mode, be prepared. The program tended to be extremely unpredictable. I used it with a high-end PC and the program would continually lock up at random or it would not shut down cleanly after saving a project. Windows Task Manager had to be used many times to kill the program completely. Though it has a good looking interface, functionality in Advanced Mode is poor and it is evident that there was little User Acceptance Testing before its release. Tools from menus were found to be either not selectable or did not seem to work correctly, if at all. After frustration and in the end, I kept the Vidbox, dumped the included software and went with another video editing package. No issues after that.

I’ve been meaning to convert my old VHS and camcorder tapes and wanted to make sure that someone could help me if I ran into any problems since I have no experience in any of this. I was a little hesitant at first after reading some of the reviews but decided to give this product a try anyway because they seem to be the only one I found to have customer support and people who used their older products seem to like them. I ran into some problems at first when I couldn’t see anything on my PC so I called the customer support and they walked me through the whole thing. It turned out that I just connected the cables wrong. I felt a little embarrassed but the guy I talked to was very patient and nice, and even made sure everything worked fine before getting of the phone. Other than the glitch at the beginning, I’m actually surprised by how easy it was to use! I even tried to edit a little using their more advanced mode. I’m definitely glad that I got this product and would recommend it to others like me.
