> 24 hourIt does the job really well and I dont have to pay someone to do it for me. It is time consuming to transfer VHS over to computer because it is done in real time but worth it in the end. One thing I have noticed is that it seems to degrade the quality a little bit. The preview window of the video looks better than what the final video quality looks like. Because of this, I docked it a star.

> 24 hourI bought this software 2 weeks ago for my Windows 10 machine and so far, things are working great (almost). I had trouble downloading the software. I wasnt able to download through the CD, so then used the website. Because it still wouldnt download, at least I thought I didnt, I was ready to return this. Then I tried again, and it was perfect. I dont even know what I did, but it is now working great. I was not able to playback on Windows 10 because of the file, but it appears if I use the Jpeg file, it would playback, however I was able to playback on my old laptop and the TV DVD. Im still working on that. Its always a trial and error. The software is unbelievable easy. It recorded my old VHS tapes to the DVDs by just hitting record. Simple! I would say the clarity isnt the greatest, but the old VHS tapes arent either, so its probably comparable. I have not yet tackled the more difficult recording where you can edit. Ill work on that! Overall, Im very happy with this and I am not a techy person, just someone who wants to preserve my old VHS tapes to DVD. My son tells me I should put them on a thumbdrive because DVDs are on their way out.

> 24 hourI have been able to convert many VCR tapes to DVD. Quality is not the best, but it does the job.

> 24 hourprettty good software that works with a lot of windows programs (Vista, Windows 7, windows 10 are what i used.), pretty easy to use. Much cheaper than having someone convert old vhs tape to digital.

> 24 hourWorks pretty well. Since you have to transfer the tapes in real-time, its nice to be able to set a record timer on the software and walk away from the PC. Makes transferring several tapes pretty easy. DVD authoring feature is pretty good, but its not for noobs. Youll turn several DVD-Rs into coasters and frisbees before you finally get the hang of it.

> 24 hourFor the most part, I like this software/hardware product. I actually am very happy with the hardware. It is easy to connect my old camcorder to my computer and transfer to digital format. I have been putting them (transferred home movies from VHS) on disk drives (I call them thumb drives). My somewhat low rating is for the editing software. If you try to get too fancy making changes, the program stops responding and if you dont save your project OFTEN, you lose all the work (and a lot of time) you put in up to that point. The PDF directions are easy to read and comprehend but it wont let you email it to print from a different printer. (Mine is out of ink right now and I wanted to email it to work so I could print it on that printer.) There are a few other options Id like to see added. For example, there is a title screen and a credits screen in the storyboard editing. You cant copy a photo into either of these screens. It would be nice to be able to do that. It would also be nice to add a picture to the transitions between clips. And, I discovered (during this last non-responsive error) that you can add text to a clip but only to the beginning of a clip. I would like to add text to the middle of a clip, kind of like an editorial during events. I will continue to use this program; I just have to remember to save the project often and find other tricks to make title pages and ending credit pages the way I want them by making a new clip screen and adding a picture. Hopefully, it wont freeze before I get each edit done.

> 24 hourHas some issues. First of all I highly recommend getting a video signal booster between your vcr and this device. I had a lot of weird flickering going on. After calling tech support, they said my vcr signal was probably weak and the device does no amplification. Also this makes random ticking noises through your speakers. Doesnt end up on the video but is annoying. And the most annoying part...the final video can be choppy at times even when you dont see it while you are watching. No doubt a product of digitizing the video. Usually at the beginning of the footage, its all black and white and jumpy until the the device figures out how to track. Very annoying!!!!! Hindsight I wish I could have used a DVD/vcr recorder before they discontinued them.

> 24 hourIm using a Surface Pro 4 and the editing software doesnt work. It worked the first time and then afterwards it stopped. The video quality is poor compared to original vhs or 8mm tape and works inconsistently. Audio background noise and video discoloration and banding are evident but not on the original tape. The cables are cheap and often come loose. I had to use my own. You have to exit the software and then reopen if you are doing multiple captures or recordings. When first playing a video sometimes the software doesnt display the video and you have to exit and reopen the software.

> 24 hourTransferring VHS to external hard drive. A few things worried me. First, there was nothing on the box about being compatible with Windows 10 even though the listing said it was. Turns out it was compatible. No problem. Second, while recording the audio was a little off from the video. After recording was finished I checked the file and the audio was fine. No problem. Third, I have a DVD player on my laptop but not a burner so I am uploading movies to an external hard drive. Would not let me save direct. Had to transfer it post completion. No problem. All in all, way slower than using Pirate Bay but my internet provider gets a little pissy. Legalities being what they are this is the next best option I found. No problem.

> 24 hourWhile it functions, this is impressive software with several clever features that make converting old VHS or 8mm tapes to DVD format. But users should be patient, as the program will lock up without warning during the capture phase and youll have to close it out with task manager and start over again. The phone-access customer support staff were friendly and offered suggestions to fix the glitch, but to no avail. Now out $60, Ill be looking for other software options as I dont have time to attempt capturing videos 2 or 3 times.
