> 24 hourEasy to set up....knew from the reviews that the base and the stand were flimsy and will cinch it down with a couple of braces. Be aware that youll also have to order an HDMI cable if thats the way that you want to go. I didnt read the package contents when I purchased this monitor and had to have Amazon send me one (just two days). Then I set this monitor up in front of my exercise bike in order to watch movies while I work out. Other than that, all I had to do to get it working was go into my nVidia Control Panel on the computer and set my primary monitor and this monitor up as clones so that both show the same screen. The screen on this VX2452 is crisp. It even looks great when a game id being played on my computer (I run a GTX980Ti on ultra mode. I highly recommend this monitor for work or for play.

> 24 hourThe picture overall is quite amazing. Had to set the brightness and contrast to 50 / 50 at set up because it was blinding when first turned on. The darks and brights are great. HOWEVER... there is a very annoying back light that beams through on the right side. Since I do a lot of graphic and video editing, I need t see everything for what it really is to properly do my editing and color corrections, etc. This will be useful as a side monitor to just use for side stuff but for a main monitor, not good for what I do. Update: Amazon is amazing! Called about the issue and in less than a minute they put in to ship for a replacement and was done! 2 days later got the replacement and the image is amazing. A great monitor! Amazon... thank you for the best customer service on the planet!!!

> 24 hourI purchased two of these monitors to replace older Viewsonic (Much older - almost 15 years!) monitors for general use during remote work and as a dual-monitor setup for my Mac Pro for music production. Great, non-glare screen, good resolution and flexible connectivity. I am not a fan at all of glossy screens and this fits the bill affordably and perfectly. For audio quality, the built-in speakers work fine for general use / conference calls but are a bit underpowered. However I did not originally plan on using the speakers at all until the recent COVID-19 situation, so being able to leverage them and give my headset a break was a nice bonus.

> 24 hourI bought this as a budget gaming monitor because of the 1ms MPRT backlight strobing feature and the higher than average PPI (~103 pixels per inch). The motion clarity of 1ms mode is good with minimal cross-talk. I hoped there would be adjustable strobe-pulse-width that trades brightness for motion-clarity, but I guess that’s too much to ask for a budget monitor in 2023. Note that cross-talk is worse at the top and bottom of the screen than it is in the middle. Removing the anti glare film was simple, and I didn’t even need to remove the bezel to get it all. I just used a couple plastic pry tools and it came off easy.

> 24 hourThis replaced a 22 Viewsonic that I have had for many years but is got fried by lightning strike. I like quality, setup is a bit challenging but do-able. Only thing I dislike is the tinny audio speakers. the old 22 where much better. I am using it on a Mac laptop OS.10.14.5

> 24 hourFor the price, the picture is nice and I have no dead pixels. However, the sound is so dismal that were it not for the deeply discounted price I paid, I would return it. It is sad to say it would not be an exaggeration to say the sound is _literally_ no better than a string attached to a tin can; (really... literally). It is is _that_ bad. For that reason, I decided to not use the HDMI cable from my computer to the screen; (which, when used, give you no choice but to use the internal tin-can-speaker system). Instead, I attached my Digital DVI cable between my computer and the Viewsonic Display, which allowed me to use an external speaker. I was previously using my (20 year old) top of the line Dell Display which had an optional sound bar attached to the bottom with two small screws. I removed the sound bar and now have it laying behind this Viewsonic Display. *NOW* the quality of the sound matches the quality of the picture. [Short Version]: If you must use this Viewsonic Display (or any Viewsonic model within this price range), along with an HDMI cable, be prepared for _horrific_ sound in which my analogy of a string and a tin can is extremely accurate. The problem with using HDMI is that you have no choice but to use the internal tin-can sound system. NOTE: I tried a few of the Viewsonic models in this price range. Apparently, anything under $150 gets you a string and a tin can for a sound system. It truly is pathetic, and were it not for this issue Id give the Display 5 stars... especially for the price.

> 24 hourBought this to replace an old 22 ViewSonic LCD monitor that was giving up. First impressions out of the box were similar to other comments here - MUCH lighter weight than my old monitor and yet quite wiggly on the provided stand. The first power-up without installing drivers provided very pale colors as others have stated. Also as previously stated, tinkering with the monitors menus provided no improvement as the color settings default to maximum from the factory. I was feeling disappointed, BUT, using the Windows monitor adjustments and installing the appropriate drivers markedly improved the colors. Some additional thoughts - I think part of the adjustment issue I had was not the fault of the monitor, but was simply the change from old LCD technology to LED lit screens, where as with room lighting LEDs provide a brighter, if somewhat harsher light source. Another change issue was the shift from the old standard sized and shaped monitor to a widescreen format that resulted in a monitor about two inches wider, but almost a full inch shorter in screen size. This somewhat deadened the effect of going to a larger screen, and has prompted me to start the search for a four inch stand to lift the monitor to center eye level and the best viewing angle. Dont let the above comments appear too negative - after the above mentioned adjustments I am very happy with the monitor and would by it again without hesitation. My gamer son loves the high refresh speed and brighter picture and I loved the reasonable price. Need a good, reasonably priced monitor? Get it.

> 24 hourAs a desktop monitor that I occasionally game on, this monitor is great. The one feature I dont like though is the rear mounted speakers. I bought this model because it had speakers and I wanted to get away from the desktop speakers and the attendant wiring mess. However, rear mounted speakers in a desktop setting lack the required backstop for the sound to reflect off of. Rear mounted speakers work for wall mounted monitors because the sound bounces off the wall forward. Other than that, its a great monitor for the price.

> 24 hourIm a writer and I spend well over 6 hours a day working. Previously I had been using my ASUS laptop and the 15 screen that is standard with that unit.for all of my work, but I noticed that my eyes were getting tired. I upgraded my eyeglasses which helped a little, and then I made the text a larger size, which also helped, but I didt find either of those things a solution. Thats what I went shopping for. After looking through the selection on Amazon, I settled on either a 24 or 27 inch monitor as what I needed. The reviews were favorable, and the price especially great on the ViewSonic, so I decided to take a flyer on it and see if it would solve my tired eye problems. I connected the monitor via the HDMI cable to my laptop, and after a little fiddling got the monitor to work the way I thought I needed, and the laptop closed and off to the side, (I use a Microsoft blue tooth keyboard and mouse for my writing) After one day I was totally sold on this monitor. I dont play games on the computer, but I have watched some Youtube videos, and one of two Netflix shows when Im goofing off instead of working, and I am thoroughly impressed. The picture is crisp and clear, and yes, its bright, but I can dull it down easily. I find that I like the brightness turned up, and put a color background on my word processor instead of white. My eyes still get tired, but I dont start suffering until near the end of the day, so I am comfortable for many more hours a day than I was previously. I think ViewSonic makes a great product, and I dont have a problem recommending this monitor to anyone who doesnt have very specific requirements that it might not meet, although I cant imagine what those might be. For me, it works like a charm.
