> 24 hour4 stars. The trucks were mounted on the board on top of the shrink-wrap which was annoying because me being a perfectionist had to take them off, fully remove the plastic, and then re-mount them. The board is great though. Once I was done with thats initial set up, I had a chance to take it around my neighborhood. It is a very smooth and easy ride. Very easy to turn on this board! As for the bearings, I think I may replace them so I can roll and coast for longer distances. The wood is not entirely smooth in all areas, however the grip tape looks and is phenomenal. Overall the board is great for the money spent on this, just wish they could have shrink-wrapped it after the trucks were already mounted. Update: the bearings on this board are not good at all. As soon as I replaced the bearings with reds bearings, instant difference. The wheels spun for about 5-10 seconds with the original bearings and about 30 seconds to 1 minute with the new ones. Definitely recommend replacing them.

> 24 hourIts been almost 18 months since I gave this board to my then 12 yr old daughter for xmas. She asked for a longboard and gave me no other details because she didnt know any: she had been riding her cousins board, and this is what prompted her to ask for her own. And I dont ride skateboards myself (when I fall off a board, I prefer for there to be water rather than concrete beneath me). After doing a bit on reading online, I determined that a drop-through was the way to go because of the enhanced stability inherent to that design; I also concluded that bearings are pretty inexpensive to upgrade, so if the time came that my daughter was proficient enough to want more speed that could easily be accomplished via better bearings, wheels, and maybe even trucks, but for the time being, wheels that didnt spin too fast were actually a virtue. All of that was what I got with this board: a very solid, stable deck that is still extremely easy to turn, but with pretty slow wheels/bearings. And just as Id envisioned, this wasnt a bad thing for a young beginner. My daughter got pretty decent on the board; despite a couple of good spills about six months later she was bugging me for upgrades to be able to go faster, so we installed a basic set of Reds trucks and wheels, just about doubling the glide with a couple pushes. Another benefit of the upgraded trucks was that I was able to torque them down and make the board more stable without much loss of turning radius, as for whatever reason, this deck just turns well no matter what kind of wheels are on it. So if youre looking for a competition level, downhill racing board, this is not the one for you. On the other hand though, if you want something solid and stable to learn on, this board is the perfect choice. For >$50 more, you can upgrade it into a very respectable commuter/mid-level board.

> 24 hourFor a first time cruising board, this is full of potential. The only real letdown is the bearings; none were amazing on my board, but some were better than others. Still, $15 for some decent bearings vastly improved the glide, but if youre doing really short trips around a small-ish college campus, you might not notice. The trucks are okay - not bad, certainly not great either, just middle of the road, probably not worth upgrading unless you really get into longboarding. If you loosen them up they provide enough flex for decent carving without being noisy, which is about as much as you could ask for. The wheels are also fine; pretty soft, but still quick enough and good for rolling over most stones, cracks, and seams youll find in/on pavement or concrete. The one standout is the deck - its a decent maple ply with a nice combination of flex and rigidity. Its slight concave shape isnt too shallow or too deep, kind of just right for providing a comfortable amount of grip. The choice of geometric designs and solid colors all look good (I went with the teal and salmon color low-rider influenced chevron and pinstripes) and the screen printing is done well. After a few months the design has held up well and Im sure it will age nicely, too. The grip tape is good and its nice having the white outline drawing on top, though Im not sure why its a whale. Still, looks good, doesnt hold on to dirt too badly, serves its purpose. The 40 length is a nice compromise for making most turns and feeling not-twitch while cruising. Honestly, if they just sold the deck Id be into that. For $40-50, its a hard to beat for a starter board. One thing I dislike was that they installed the trucks while the board was still covered in plastic shrink wrap. Not a huge deal, and retaining the plastic it does admittedly protect the printed design during shipping, but it means you have to take the trucks off to get absolutely all the plastic out that gets trapped between the truck and the deck. I rode it like that for a while but it bothered me - most people probably wont care, though. Overall, really solid package, so long as you dont mind getting your board from China (Volador is a nice-sounding brand name, but it still comes from Shanghai Biong Industrial, Ltd., sooooo....).

> 24 hourIts and incredible board in every department, I have had it for about five months now and I have done it all on it, and it is also decent at sliding for beginners. This board is for beginners and to be honest I bought it to learn how to long board and at some point when the board breaks I would buy a more expensive one, but it has been perfect so far, I one billion percent recommend.

> 24 hourThis Longboard is okay at best. The first problem with this board is the bearings. If you intend on keeping this board, the bearings will need to be replaced. The ones that came on my board were slow and already dirty, they were also loud and grinding. My board also had a washer missing on one wheel. Also, for a board that comes with bearing spacers, I shouldnt have to loosen the nut on the wheels for them to turn freely. I replaced the bearings with Bones Reds, which was a much better replacement. The second problem with this board is the truck bushings. The bushings are super soft and squeak a lot. Also, the pivot/cup bushing seems too small or the pivot hole in the truck base plate is too big... The pivot is very loose and doesnt sit very nicely inside the cap. Rest of the truck seems fine though. I will be replacing the bushings that came with the board. The board does flex, but it does not seem like comfortable flex like you would get on a nice expensive deck meant to flex. Well see how the deck performs. Luckily this board is for my girl-friend and she is rather light. At the end of the day, this is a pretty cheap complete board at 60 bucks. For a bit of extra money, you can turn it into a decent board. The parts that seem decent on this board are the wheels, the grip tape, the hardware, and the decal on the bottom of the board. This is my experience with the board. I will mention that I read through pages of reviews on this board before I bought it, unfortunately I got the sense that other peoples reviews may not be the most honest and then I started seeing that people were getting these discounted in return for honest reviews. I almost always stay away from products that have reviews like that, and for good reason. Companies should not need to buy reviews, the product should speak for itself. So, buyer beware. If you are looking for a good board that you can get shipped and immediately ride without issue or replacing anything, get a Sector 9. Those have always been a quality board in my experience. You pay a little more, but I can guarantee you that you will be more satisfied. Riding this board vs a Sector 9 out of the box is a night and day difference (the Sector 9 will actually roll).

> 24 hourA couple of weeks ago I decided to finally pull the trigger and buy a longboard and after a little bit of research and indecision I decided to settle on the Volador because of its relatively low price point and nice simplistic design. When the board arrived, I took it for a test run to see if I liked the feel of the board. Apart from the tightness of the trucks everything seemed fine, although the trucks were a bit tight so I ended up loosening them a bit so I could take turns better.. When I took it back inside and took a closer look at the board, I noticed that the grip tape had bubbles. Im not sure if that was a result of riding around in the heat or if they was there before, but fortunately that was an easy fix with a screwdriver to pop the bubbles. Now that a few weeks have passed and I have broken the board in somewhat,I can say that for $60.00, this is a solid purchase if you are looking to buy a long board. The deck is solid with little-no-flex. The wheels are holding up fine and there has not been any visible deformities yet. The bearings that the board came with are decent, however, I did have to clean them and re-grease after I rode the board in the rain. But becasue these bearings are rubber shielded it was not a hassle and easy to do. Overall a solid board for the price.

> 24 hourPretty pleased with this longboard overall. The deck is a little stiff but not bad. The wheels it comes with are decent. I’ve rolled over quite a bit of pebbles and twigs with no really issues. My only complaint is that the bearings did not last long at all. Two of them have already gone bad in just a little over a month so those already need to be replaced. Other than that I’d say it was worth the money.

> 24 hourThe board arrived on time, just like the seller had promised. One wheel was not a smooth as the other 3, but it was an easy fix - just ride the board as is. A youtuber had mentioned that sometimes new boards are not smooth straight out of the box but loosen/get better with a few runs around the block. I have ridden my board for atleast an hour for 3 days now and its so smooth. Since l have ridden any other board before, l cannot offer comparisons. I just wonder what an expert level board feels like in comparison to this entry-level board which has already blown my mind. I am 35 and have never skated before and after reading reviews and watching a lot of youtube videos, l made the decision to get the VOLADOR 42inch Freeride Longboard cruiser. I have had no skating experience whatsoever, but getting on this board has rewarded me with such amazing pleasure - child like pleasure, totally displacing the fear of falling l had.
