> 24 hourwhen it first arrived and i opened it for the first time i thought oh no this may have been too big and maybe it wouldve been better if i have gotten the penny nickel 27 inch board or a regular skateboard 31 inch and that i should just return it. so i tried to just hop on it inside my house and gave it a shot, boy was i wrong. this board was freaking awesome!!! i dont know if it was because this is my first time riding a skateboard in general and the adrenaline just kicked in but what i can definitely say about this board it is definitely smooth and comfortable. there was and is no way i can return it as i grown to love it within the past 2 hours (haha) this is definitely a great board ^_______^ i bought this board along with a 21 inch board for my friend as me and her plan on skating for the first time this winter break :)

> 24 hourI was not a *complete* beginner when I bought this board. I borrowed my friends cruiser for a while, so I at least knew how to ride. However, this is the first board I personally ever owned, and at 19 years old, it was perfect for me to learn on. About 9 months ago, I got this board. I bought it because I heard good things about it, and the weight limit was higher than a lot of the other cheaper boards here. Im 511, 250 pounds. Broad shoulders, muscular calves type guy. Totally NOT the kind of guy that would look like he skates. But hey, I was determined to learn, and yknow, I was hoping by skating every day it would help me stay in shape. Stepping on the board for the first time made me nervous. I was expecting this drop-thru to just snap under my weight, but after shifting around in the grass a little bit, I felt comfortable enough to ride. 9 months of continual use later, its still holding up strong. The wood is warping slightly, but its not enough to cause concern. And that may be my own fault for skating in the rain a couple of times, which is horrible for your board. But it goes to show that this can hold up in unfavorable conditions. Now, this board isnt perfect by any means. After a few months of me being a total beginner, I realized that, hey, its getting really hard to push this thing. Then I found out that I shouldve been cleaning the bearings. The stock ones werent that great to begin with imo, and Im glad I sprung the extra $20 for some REDS now that Im a little more experienced. If youre new to skating like I was (and still am), this longboard will likely work for you, too. Its a hell of a lot better than getting a pennyboard (which Ive tried, god those things are sketchy) and theyre just easier than learning on a legit skateboard. Its cheap enough that if you end up not enjoying it, you at least didnt break the bank, and you can give it away as a gift or something if you cant return it anymore. Its durable enough that I ride at least three times a week for a solid couple of months now. I sort of wish I spent more money on a more *premium* board or whatever now that Im really into skating, but if I hadnt made this purchase, I wouldnt have known. So yeah, you should buy this board (or any longboard, for that matter)

> 24 hourMy 10 year old bought this for her first longboard. Overall it’s pretty good, but had to mark it down a star because 1 wheel had a 1/4” chunk taken out of it but it’s in the sidewall so no effect on the ride and I highly doubt these are abec7 bearings. Other daughters more expensive boards have ABEC 7 and these ones are not as smooth. It’s fine for a 10 year old learner and maybe the lesser bearing keeps her a bit slower anyway. Didn’t contact the seller cause not worth getting a new board since she will bang it up anyway and she likes it. For the money and a learner it’s a good board to buy.

> 24 hourThis longboard works pretty good for people who are just starting out. you get what you pay for, but even then its a bit better than expected. has a bit too much resistance, I typically have to kick harder than my boyfriend who has a more expensive one. bearings are also kinda noisy. its a good choice if you dont wanna make the investment right away

> 24 hourthis board is absolutely amazing! it’s beyond my expectations at its low price and it’s definitely comparable to thrasher, santa cruise, and other top selling boards. it’s worth much more than what i even payed for and it could easily be compared to $200 dollar boards. turning is INSANELY easy, it rides very smooth, even on alaska roads, and the bottom design is absolutely gorgeous! even more beautiful than in the picture, my jaw dropped when i first saw it!!! the grip tape is very nice and sturdy with an also beautiful yet simple design, and my friend bought a board from volador as well and they’re both definitely worth the low price we payed for. i’m only 12 and a beginner at boarding but riding this i almost feel like a pro. i love your boards and they’re extraordinary designs and i would definitely recommend them to anybody who would want a sturdy board even if they’re willing to pay for more expensive ones. THANK YOU VOLADOR!!!

> 24 hourI’ve never longboarded in my life and I picked it up so easily with the stability of this board. I know some boards slip very easily and flex a lot but this board had the perfect balance to help me learn quickly and safely. The wheels move so smoothly and I barely feel the bumps on the sidewalk/road I ride on. 100% recommend for beginners or pros. All over an amazing board.

> 24 hourI left 5 stars because the product is great. However, Amazons ability to properly package products has drastically gone downhill. The board was in a large box, face down with one sheet of packing paper on top of it. Front edge of board was scraped up due to improper packaging.

> 24 hourI’ve been using for a month almost every day and it’s been great so far. I bought it as a cheap replacement for my board that I couldn’t take abroad but I was pleasantly surprised with the flex of the board. Turning is very easy as well, even at the first try. The only thing that scared me on the moment is that the screws of the trucks were almost totally gone after a few hours riding. Might be careful with that when receiving the board, but with a t tool it shouldn’t be a problem. Anyway, great board for the low price and cruising around !

> 24 hourI tried to buy a longboard that was similar to the one I previously had and this one was perfect! It turns nicely and feels very smooth and strong. I highly recommend it for someone who’s an experienced beginner or a little intermediate. I don’t think it’s great for a newbie though.

> 24 hourMy daughter is going off to college in the fall to California. While she was visiting there she saw lots of longboarders on the campuses and figured she had to have one, so we embarked on doing a ton of online research and arrived at the Volador Freeride Longboard. Given the circumstances of her being a new rider, and being value conscious consumers, we concluded that the Volador was a good choice. It has good all-around components. The bearings are ABEC9, meaning theyre manufactured to exacting tolerances. The trucks are 40 degree, meaning they are amateur friendly and arent going to be overly twitchy at speed. The wheels are 78A, meaning they arent too soft that they wear out fast and not too slow to accelerate. Theyre neither so hard that youre going to feel every imperfection in the tarmac and lack grip. In other words, all the components seem very well matched for both the board and the rider. So we get the board and start bombing down our driveway! Well, not right away, but we (meaning I) got there by the end of the day. In the meantime my teenager daughter, 10 year old son, and I took turns on the board and all had such a great time, that we all decided we each needed to get our own board. The board is a lot of fun and a great value! $70 seemed like a lot of money to me at first, but it seems like a bargain now! I have since continued my research (because my daughter will no longer allow my heavy, risk-taking self on her board) going into skate shops and I cannot say I can tell a difference between this Volador and boards costing up to $200. I have every expectation that the board will hold up and provide years of service. Time will tell of course, but for now, I have to give it 5 stars for initial overall service, value, and performance!
