Opened box read the English part of book. Put 40 oz of reverse osmosis water into tank with supplied funnel and 16 oz measuring cup. Plugged in on kitchen counter near sink. Depressed start switch. Waited for orange light to go out selected the squeegee to do glass cooktop. In twelve minutes the orange light went off. Squeezed trigger nothing happened. Shah it has a safety lock for both the on and off positions. In forty five seconds the top was spotless and a quick wipe with INCLUDED rag. Then I went on to use different attachments on it for various parts of the kitchen. Cabinet doors around knobs and custom molding all spotless with no real labor to speak of. I had done the floor yesterday with both of my robots and one had mopping attachment in use. This steam could easily get under the cabinet overhang that the robots cant effectively mop. The floors appears shinier after they dried than before. Cleaning the air circulator on my air fryer went without a hitch. Cleaned it in dry sink with the angled fine point tip. I got done after about an hour doing the kitchen and a couple of the granite floors. Very pleased with its performance overall. While cleaning the different pieces I began thinking of what soon became a rather lengthy list of jobs I could make a lot easier with this little steamer. Will be back later in summer to follow-up

Ok so I just only received this yesterday. I started it up today and I have vinyl flooring. I have 3 teenagers, dog, and 2 cats. I’ve bought so many steam mops over the years. This machine is bada**!!! My floors have never looked so good and fresh!! I also used it to dust my tv console shelves - was amazing and fast!!! I tried using it on my oven like the video but that didn’t really do much. But man I can’t wait to do it on my mirrors and windows!! The cord was REALLY short so an extension cord is needed if you are going to do large area.

We bought this steamer in order to help with the removal of wallpaper from several rooms in our home. Based on several days of use so far heres what we think: The Good: Using this steamer beats using chemicals hands down at a price far less than either using chemicals or renting a steamer if you have a large removal area or will need a steamer for more than a couple of weekends. Depending on how many layers of wallpaper and the substrate (for us it was either bare plaster or paint over plaster; worst case was 3 layers of wallpaper on a bare plaster surface, best case was a single layer of wallpaper on a painted surface) you have its reasonable to expect youll be able to remove 15-25 sq. ft. of wallpaper per tank. Between steaming and scraping each tank of distilled water lasted ~ 1 to 1-1/2 hours. The wallplate attachment fits reasonably well and flush to the surface. While removing wallpaper is never fun it was great to be able to peel off wallpaper in large sections instead of having to chip away at it when we used chemicals. The Bad: When using the wallplate for the first time after filling the tank a gush of hot water precedes the steam. Thats not a bad thing when youre working 2-3 or higher on the wall (the hot water simply soaks into the wallpaper and loosens it up) but if youre closer to the floor it can cause a stream of very hot water to soak your floor (not very desirable and possibly damaging). Luckily this effect becomes less pronounced at the tank empties. While the wallplate does effectively steam off wallpaper youll find that a fair bit of steam escapes from the uneven contact of the plate with the wall surface. A better design would include a foam border to enhance the seal between the wallplate and the working surface to better concentrate the steaming effect. Lastly, there is no place to attach the wallplate for safekeeping during the periods when youre scraping. There were several points where we had to use a stepladder to work on the upper portions of the wall and there was no way to safely secure the hose/wallplate when we were done steaming. The manual states that the wallpaper attachment should be pointing bottom side up when not in use to avoid accidentally steaming the floor. What they didnt consider is that, in that configuration, if the trigger were accidentally engaged that a blast of steam would go straight in the air...maybe into someones face...with potentially dire results. The design of the unit should be modified to include a way to afix the steamer handle to the case with the attached tool facing downward and away to prevent accidental discharge. The design should also include a positive safety lock in the trigger mechanism to prevent accidental discharge as well. Suggestions: When using this tool to remove wallpaper weve found it helpful to use a spray bottle containing hot water and wet the wall surface while youre waiting the 20 minutes or so for the steamer to get to operating temperature. The extra water helps loosen the wallpaper and enhances the effect of the steamer, especially when the tank start to run dry. Overall this is a good and very useful steamer. Once the wallpaper job is done well still be able to use it for multiple other cleaning uses :-).

Ive had this for about a month now and have used it weekly. I must say the steam is for sure hot, and it does push it out very well. But, once its with the initial heating cycle it will push boiling water out for a few seconds and then the steam will come. The unit itself will also become pretty warm so beware of its placement so you dont have to move a hot machine. The tools also become pretty warm so be careful if you need to switch them out. I will probably only use this to clean hard surfaces and car upholstery. I tried using it to steam some shirts but it misted them with water and steam so I ended up with wet shirts. Its not a bad product but it is not perfect either..I would say its worth what you pay

Weve all seen the infomercials... Effortless instant cleaning! If you expect this, you are in for a rude surprise! Bit if you use it for the right things, it IS a big help. BEFORE YOU START: The steam is LOUD, especially in close quarters! I use the earmuff hearing protectors I use for lawn mowing & shooting. It really helps! Without it my ears are ringing after just a few minutes. The steam mop works well on hard floors, but be sure to run the steam through until ALL water leaves the tube before you put the cloth on or is just gets soaked. When you start with a clean dry cloth (ANY will work, microfiber is best, followed by terrycloth) it IS fairly effortless to clean all but the dirtiest floors. They are dry in seconds unless you have a spot you used a lot of steam on. Where this really shines is using the power jet with either the plastic or bronze brush. With those I got shmutz from cracks & crevices I never even realized were dirty, like all our baseboards! It helped clean our range a LOT. I get grease & dirt from out of places I really thought I had cleaned well! With the plastic brush tip I was able to clean all the grout and seams around the bath to the point that they looked much brighter, and the soap scum came off of all the tile! But it DID take a lot of scrubbing on my part, both with the tip and with a nylon brush. I used it to clean out the tracks on all of our windows, getting out years of dirt. CON: The glass squeegee was a big disappointment. While it did remove most of the grease & dirt, it left behind so much water that I still had to dry them, NOT like the commercials. There is no on board storage for anything other than the 2 jet tip brushes. DONT lose the tiny funnel, it really IS the easiest way to fill the tank. The cord is short, so I bought a 10 3prong grounded extension cord. Without it Id have been spending more time plugging back in & waiting to reheat. PRO: Besides the above, this unit is 1500watt and holds 48oz of water. This compares to the 500watt 6oz to 1000watt 15oz toys Id tried before. This also has nearly twice the pressure of the cheapies, and that works to blast away all the dirt I was cleaning from all those tiny places! I like cleaning without any chemical odor or residue. I did try adding a few ounces of white vinegar, seemed to help. As long as you do your part, it will help you get better cleaning done in less time.

Works great on interior plastic as well as the cloth seats. It even got a stain out that’s been there for the past 2 years. My new favorite tool.

So, I bought one of these to see how well it works and I am fairly happy with my purchase so far. I will just attempt to list the pros and cons as briefly as I can: PROS: 1) Can clean virtually any surface (even wood if you are careful and dont let it saturate the wood to the point where it starts to peel or warp). 2) Easy to move around with the wheels. 3) The attachments are fairly straight forward and easy to use. 4) Holds a lot of water for nearly an hour of steaming before it needs to be refilled and reheated. 5) Easy to switch on the steam and automatically shuts off if you release the lever. 6) Powerful enough to blast nicotine and other stubborn stains off of the walls and ceilings of an old apartment that we are cleaning (so much so the ceiling tiles I have done so far look as though they were painted compared to the ones left untouched. 7) Takes dirt off of floors (albeit with some continued effort) that are nearly 50 years old. The tiles I have done thoroughly are revealing their true color which was a bright white at one time, while the rest around them are still yellowed that have yet to be steamed. 8) Doesnt take too long to heat (roughly 15 minutes -- time you can use to do other cleaning before you steam the floors or whatever. 9) long hose (about 6 feet or so) and two extending arms aid in cleaning ceilings and other higher up surfaces. 10) Not too heavy to carry from room to room or up and down staircases. CONS: 1) There is no visible reservoir to judge the water level. The solution I have found to solve the issue of potential overflowing is to wait until the steamer simply stops producing steam. This way you know its empty inside and then use a measuring cup to measure out 48 ounces of water (the maximum amount the reservoir can hold) and then when you add it you wont have to worry about overflow. 2) The hose, while it is long, easily twists up even after just uncoiling it. I would liken it to a phone cord in the way it twists up so easily. While it is a nuisance at times, it is not that big a deal. It does easily stretch back out and uncoil if you lift it up to do an area up high. 3) The only on-board storage is for the two tiny brush attachments that come with the machine to do cleaning of grills and grout and other surfaces that require a good stiff brush to clean. However, I just keep the other attachments on a shelf when not using them. 4) The machine only comes with one pad, which is essentially cheap terrycloth. While it is certainly machine washable or easily hand washed in the sink, it could become tiring having to do this all the time. A solution I have found that works well is to get a white towel and cut it into pieces using the pad that comes with it as a guide. These hand cut pieces works fairly well if properly clipped on and seem to even have more absorbency than the one that comes with the product. On a side note extra pads can be bought from the company for 11 dollars for three (fairly inexpensive compared to Shark steamers that charge 20 dollars for two pads). 5) When you first start to steam an initial blast of water typically comes out. Not too big of an issue either simply spray into the air or onto a towel or into a cup to get that initial water blast out of the way then you are good to go with a great supply of steam cleaning power. 6) The power cord is perhaps one of its greatest cons, as it is only about 2-3 feet long. Again, easily rectified by using an extension cord. You can use a 50 footer as I do so that you do not have to worry about unplugging it and plugging it back in multiple times. 7) The buttons you have to depress to remove attachments tend to be a bit sticky (even after only a few days of use) just be careful to depress them completely by pushing down right on the center of them before pulling off any attachments. 8) The red light will come on quite often (sometimes less than a minute after getting the green light that it is ready to go and at max temp. This does NOT mean you cannot still use it. It may be a faulty sensor or it could just be that it fell a few degrees below the max temp, nevertheless it still works great even when the red light comes on. Do not let it alarm you and make you think you have to stop repeatedly as one reviewer stated when cleaning his floors. Overall, I am rather impressed with what I have done with the steamer so far and look forward to continuing to use it to get this apartment in tiptop shape for renting. For the price of under 100 dollars it seems to be a great option to get the job done. Dont expect miracles, but do expect to be pleasantly surprised with what things you can clean. I have done floors, walls, ceilings, windows (which it does beautifully with the squeegie attachment, might I add) tiles, wood (even though the manual says it isnt recommended -- see my comment from above regarding using the product on wood), toilet, sink faucets, stove tops, and even metal doors with great success. It also can be used on furniture (again be careful not to overly saturate the upholstery so as to prevent molding), curtains, and even clothing (of course check your labels to make sure that steam wont damage a particular fabric). I say, so far at least, that the product is worth the money and will be beneficial to you to assist with cleaning. It makes cleaning much easier and with no need for chemicals it is a very ecological cleaning option. Remember everyone has different experiences. Give the product a try and I dont think you will be disappointed. Plus, if you should find you dont like it, Amazon has a great return policy! Happy Steaming! EDIT: 2/11/13 Used this guy on my aunts linoleum kitchen floor and it took white paint from when my grandfather painted her kitchen 8 years ago right off...every spot of paint is gone. She had been trying for years to get it off and this worked like a charm in a matter of minutes it was all gone as though it never had been there in the first place -- also it has cleaned tile floors that were 50 years old that always looked dingy and yellowed no matter what I did..now the tiles look bright white again...after these two experiences had to update this to 5 stars.

I really like this appliance. It makes quick work of sanitizing, and depending on cleaning activity, helps a great deal, especially if grease is involved (grill, kitchen vent hood, etc), to hit it with steam first. If you steam iron a dirty shirt, it may take out the wrinkles and odor, but its still dirty. So running steam with this appliance over a kitchen surface will NOT make it clean, BUT will sanitize the surface and soften hard, dried organics on the counter top to help make removal easier, but alone, this appliance does NOT clean in the traditional sense ..but it wasnt designed for that purpose either....it would need a vacuum or pick-up capability built-in to achieve. If the above is understood, then there are a lot of tasks where this comes in handy. Yes, traditional steam treatment of most surfaces already makes this appliance useful for almost everyone, but I found a few other great uses. 1. This thing kills bugs using the steam nozzle. I used to need to fumigate our couch when a flea or two was brought in by our pet, now I can steam kill them...the key? Long steam exposure...a quick shot of steam will not suffice....but even after literally 1 whole minute, which is all it takes, but is hard to do in reality - it really is a long time, is just water droplets that evaporates quickly. No chemicals and no oders...just need 40 fl-oz of distilled water...something that never expires 2. Car Engine degreaser...and with the extenders, you can get to places in the engine bay that an areasol can cant reach. I wouldnt recommend using this in your interior, unless you have absolutely no electronics or seat motor exposure...but even, an abundance of caution is still in order. ....youll find more for yourself.... Remember, this uses water, so if the surface being exposed cannot handle water, find another means to clean it. Also, technique is key to results...and if you find that this is not doing the job, maybe rethink the technique, where technique may include adjusting exposure time and/or the appliance tip being used. Enjoy being clean.

This should go w/o saying: but make sure you know the material is safe to steam PRIOR to using. Obviously read your all of your manual PRIOR to using. ( My surfaces were fine) Purchased a few weeks ago. Finally used it in a couple of different ways: in bath used on tile in showers / bathtubs & sinks & floors on hardware. Worked great for all of these ..I used the smallest sprayer nozzle for all these areas ( other than the floors) While it didn’t take my grout back to its original clean —it did lift off a very good amount of surface soiling. You could definitely tell the difference. I also used on my sealed wood floors & again you could really tell they were MUCH cleaner. The ONLY con(s) would be 3 things thus far : Biggest for me was : that handle is hard on the hands & if you use it for the entire duration of a steam ? Your hand will feel it due to hard surface of the handle. I will probably use some type of glove next time I use it. Other design flaws? The short cord. Of course I used w the proper /approved extension cord & also ? You have to really eye ball when filling the tank bc you don’t have visible tank line. None of these are deal breakers to me for the price point. Overall? For the money? This steamer ( so far) is definitely worth the it! It provides a decent amount of steam and power to clean. The manual says you get about 40 min of steam I found that to be accurate. I like that I don’t have to use chemicals to clean. So far I would recommend!
