> 3 dayJust got it so I am not sure how good it is other than all the great reviews on Amazon. However, I had to deduct stars for an issue that happened during installation. Webroot flagged Java as a threat so I thought what the heck, and let webroot take it off. After the install was finished, I found that I could hear but no longer see videos on Netflix. Since the only thing that had changed today was the installation of webroot, I downloaded Java onto my laptop and suddenly was able to get picture & video on Netflix again. So I am not happy that webroot caused me a lot of frustration during installation and gave me what I consider false information about a threat. I am a middle age gal who is not tech-savvy by any means so just the fact that I was upset and frustrated during the first fifteen minutes of using this antivirus has me wondering if I would use it again. Time will tell as the old saying goes.

18-11-2024I like this product because it doesnt take your computer over when you install it. It has a small footprint, but does a great job. I use it on all my devices and have installed it on my in-laws computers as well. I definitely recommend. I tend to search the web when it is time to renew. I find I get better prices from other vendors than I find on the Webroot website.

> 3 dayI only gave 4 stars because setup was very easy and price was quite good in comparison to other antivirus software, but seem to have to reset settings every time I turn on computer. I have purchased this before and did not have any issues. Would buy again.

> 3 dayHave used Webroot for years. I do wish they gave more clear info on what each product offers and doesnt. The CD came in a folded cardboard from Webroot, and sealed on one side. It didnt come in the customary sealed plastic box where the license is hidden. Instead, the license number could be easily seen by slightly opening the bottom unsealed part of the folded cardboard. The instructions for install were incorrect. Finally, we decided to uninstall the current version. After that, the install was quick and easy. Webroot doesnt slow down the computer like some anti-virus does. Once you learn it, the program more or less just runs itself, which is convenient.

> 3 dayHubby, the IT professional succeeded in contracting some Virii. As soon as he noticed something was amiss he scanned with MS Defender. Nada. Next he tried MalwareBytes. Some hits and a couple were quarantined. At this point he was getting frantic as his finely tuned Spidey senses were tingling. Rather they were going off like the evacuation klaxons for the local Nuclear power plant. I was more interested in just exactly what he was doing to have gotten in sooooo much trouble. In desperation, aided by a reasonably positive CNET article he downloaded WebRoot from Amazon. Bingo, he was clean again. As far as his computer status that is. He says that hes aware there may be better products but he was desperate. Within 10 minutes of the download he was smiling. And winking. As far as that goes, Im still waiting on an answer about his web activities....

> 3 dayI purchased this product through Amazon. It saved me a trip to the store, as we were all trying to avoid crowds during the Christmas season. Webroot antivirus always scores well in reviews. We have been using Webroot for at least 8 years, and never had any issues with malware etc. My only complaint, is that the Webroot company, is always trying to get their customers to upgrade and purchase directly from them.

17-11-2024This anti-virus program is a perfect choice for older desktop PCs. Due to lack of funds to upgrade, Im presently using a 10 year old Dell Inspirion 530S, and Webroot doesnt slow down my computer at all! I made the switch to Webroot this year after using one of the leading anti-virus programs (hint: the name starts with M) for two or three years. After my previous anti-virus program raised their annual renewal fee yet again, I decided to ditch that program in favor of Webroot. I was very surprised at how much faster my 10 year old Dell runs using this program versus the M program, which frequently slowed my PC down to the point where all programs froze and I had to reboot in order to get my Dell working again. Best of all, the CD disk for Webroot brand new from Amazon was less than half the cost of a years renewal to that other anti-virus program. I highly recommend Webroot, especially if youre stuck using an older desktop PC like me.

> 3 dayI am pleased with the product I have been using this for over ten years. When I purchased the product again I was unhappy that I had to wait for a cd which was not necessary all I needed was the product keycode which they had sent me in the past via an email.

> 3 dayWhen I went to install Webroot it accepted my security key then stopped at scan your computer with the error that it could not connect to the internet. I am wired to the internet and was connected fine. When I went to back out of install it installed anyhow with a broken version. It said that it was an invalid copy. I sent a message to Support. Later decided to uninstall it and try again. It was not listed in Control Panels Programs list. Nor did it have an Uninstall option from the Start Menu. I had to Goggle it and search. There is a line command that you have to type in from the Run command to uninstall. I will stop going on about the details. Here is part of the reply I received from Webroots Customer Service today: Unfortunately, we were unable to locate your account data using the information you have provided. We are more than happy to assist you, but are going to need more information to do so. If you would please provide us with any of the following information, this should enable us to locate your account. 1. The registered name on the account 2. Current and/or previous email addresses you may have used with Webroot. 3. The keycode associated with your Webroot software. 4. The invoice number associated with your Webroot purchase. 5. The last 4 digits of the credit card used for purchase. 6. The date and amount charged, as shown on your billing statement. 7. The WBR number located near the barcode on the box or on your receipt. What the... ? They seem to be accusing me of stealing their software After going hours with out any virus protection and being inconvenienced with their buggy software they want all this information just to advise me? I was happy when I saw the message from them thinking I was going to get help. Then find out they expect me to jump through hoops to get this help. This is the first bad review I have written. Before if I didnt have anything good to say I just didnt leave a review at all. I always try to give Vendors the benefit of a doubt In conclusion I did try to install four different times more. Install continued to fail giving assorted error messages. Finally it spontaneously worked like a charm and I do have Webroot installed and working now.
