05-06-2025I dont like to load with a key code. I ordered a disc and it loaded immediately with no trouble. It seems to be working well. The price was good, especially for 3 computers. I had Norton 360 for 3 computers last year. I got it at a nice introductory price . I had no problem with it, but when it was going to renew for another year automatically at about triple the price I decided to shop around. Once Webroot was up and running for awhile I thought I might as well uninstall the Norton antivirus. When I did that it did something to my computer. It would no longer recognize my remote devices, camera and MP3 player. I have extended warranty on my HP computer and they helped me get my computer to recognize them again. I am no computer guru. Im just saying Beware on uninstalling Norton. When I Googled it I read several other people had the same problem. I still have Norton on 2 other computers. It is no longer active, but I intend to just let it sit there.

> 3 dayInstalled on my IMac. I have used Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky, and free antivirus software. These programs may be better suited for PCs but Webroot has worked best for me on the Mac. Is not intrusive and keeps my Mac clean. Does not have all the bells and whistles that other antivirus programs have, but you dont really need them with the Apple software. Furthermore, Webroot is less costly. It does not try to continuously try to sell you on upgrading to a premium version and does not interrupt with messages and bulletins. I have never needed to use any tech support so cant rate that feature. Basically, once installed it runs itself.

> 3 dayResource hog! Whenever it scans it totally bogs my system down. And you cant PAUSE the scan! You have to abort it and start all over. Ive been using this garbage on my windows pc for over a year. so when I got a new mac i though well ill go ahead and use the other computer I PAID FOR when i bought the license but NO! when i try to sign in to their brainless website I run into all kinds of probelms! Then wehn I try to register my keycode they make me jump thru flaming hoops of fire for nothing! i had to download a stupid app to scan a code then enter it. ok good, everything finally took and now i can download right? NOOOOOO! they ask me sign in again so i do. ok. now they ask for the stupid verificaiton code again. i re-enter the same code and they say WRONG! So they try to make me go thru the whole ridiculous process again! it took me over an hour! ill never buy from these a-holes again!

> 3 dayINSTALLED THIS YESTERDAY ON NEW LAPTOP AND BY FAR, IT WAS THE EASIEST INSTALLATION OF ANY ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE I HAVE EVER HAD - AND I HAVE BOUGHT A LOT OF DIFFERENT BRANDS OVER THE PAST TWENTY YEARS. GOOD PRICE FOR 3 DEVICES AND IS DOING THE JOB OF MUCH PRICER BRANDS THAT CAN BE A BEAR TO INSTALL. THE NEW LAPTOP DID COME WITH MCAFEE ALREADY ON IT, SO I UNINSTALLED IT IMMEDIATELY SO AS NOT TO HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH INSTALLING THE WEBROOT. WEBROOT, AFTER JUST A FEW MODIFICATIONS, JUST SITS QUIETLY IN THE BACKGROUND WITHOUT THE CONSTANT INTERRUPTIONS THAT MOST OTHERS SEEM TO HAVE THE HABIT OF DOING THESE DAYS. DID NOT EVEN HAVE ANY MORNING STARTUP UGLY MESSAGES TO START THE DAY WITH AS WITH THE OTHERS. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND AND WILL BUY AGAIN WHEN EXPIRATION TIME COMES AROUND.

Greater than one weekHad it for 6 weeks. I bought it from the link on amazon. The disk arrived quickly and installed quickly without problems. I didnt give it five stars because I would really need to see how well the computer is protected over 10 or 12 months. (Thats the real test, right ?) My understanding it that it does not primarily download a massive # of signatures but up to date information in the cloud updated constantly. It is true that there seems to be no penalty in computer performance. August 23, 2016 It seems to work fine it has quietly taken care of bad stuff. My computer is not messed up.

> 3 dayI was a devout Webroot fan until I saw a test that prompted a lukewarm review of this antivirus on a website. I thought Id give a free anti-virus a try for a year and reevaluate my results. Big mistake. The free suite may have been sufficient, but you get what you pay for. I thought back over the time I used Webroot and how much I enjoyed its silent presence and decided to give it another try. Im glad I did. It leaves a very small footprint on your hard drive, scans quickly, doesnt hog resources, and is easy to customize. The only reason I chose to give it four stars is a mildly annoying status box that pops up on my computer every time I turn the machine on. Otherwise, no complaints and, depending on my finances, plan on upgrading to the SecureAnywhere Complete when my renewal is up. Note: In addition to this product, I also use the free version of MalwareBytes, free CCleaner, Firefox browser with several privacy add-ons. Webroot has worked well with all of these.

> 3 dayI have installed Webroot for a hundred customers. No one who has it on their PC has had any real malware problems, nor has had a problem with it screwing up anything.

> 3 dayThe software works very well however customer support is almost non-existent, and Ive been trying to reach their customer support operation for several weeks now to resolve an inaccurate device count that the software is reporting via a personal security report (PSR). This software allows 3 installations. Ive only installed it on one PC and had hoped to install it on my daughters MAC. Finally found a working phone number to their customer support and was advised that they could NOT correct the inaccurate device count listed in the PSR. However, the device count listed in my online Webroot account is correct. I paid for a software program but also paid for the customer and tech support to back it up. You have to search to find the links and contact information to get customer support hence the one star. 10/1/2016-New problem- I need to change the primary email address and their knowledge base reports that I have to obtain a new key code and then uninstall and re-install the program. Its just an email address in the personal account settings, like making an edit to update a telephone number- why make it so difficult? It should be easily updated in the account settings but its not. Again only one star.

> 3 dayI couldnt get ahold of anybody from this company to help me. I ended up purchasing Norton. Waist of good money for this Webroot. Never again.

> 3 dayUsed it on 3 different computers. Works well not a lot of bulk install like most antivirus. The scans complete quickly and it picks up anything suspicious. The web protection is great too as it will block a site if it detects something wrong about it. Everything is cloud based so it doesnt take up a lot of hard drive space and i can move though the different settings with ease. I like this a lot better than Notion or AVG as it seems to run smoother and take less time on start up.
