Western Digital 1TB WD Green Internal PC SSD Solid State Drive - SATA III 6 Gb/s, 2.5/7mm, Up to 550 MB/s - WDS100T2G0A

I dont know why I convinced myself to give WD a try again. I saw far too many classmates at film school lose entire semesters of work and fail classes when their WD drives failed to ever trust the brand again, but I need a cheap SSD quickly to be my Windows boot drive on my Hackintosh build so I landed on this one. Damn thing didnt last a year before it unrecoverably fried. Not worth it. Shell out just a little bit more and get a better brand.

Day one review: Very pleased with the product. I ordered a data cable as well. SATA is so easy. I bought this drive to replace the original HDD that is starting to have issues. The power cable and data cable connectors both snapped right in. I used Macrium Reflect free version to clone the old 1TB drive to this new WD drive. The computer boots substantially faster now and general operation seems more robust. Its my first SSD so Im kinda giddy. :)

replaced my original drive with this solid state one and what a difference instant start up and great performance love it. It installs easily as well

My wife was complaining about the slow response of her ACER laptop with a 1 TB platter versus my ACER with a dual 240 SSD/1 TB platter. I replaced her platter with a 1TB SSD and the complaints stopped. As they say, If Momma aint happy, nobody is happy. Replacing platters with SSDs is one way to keep peace in the family.

Arrived as promised - condition and time.

Bought two and one (Literally) exploded, smoke everywhere. No damage to my pc thankfully.

I bought 2 of these to run in raid 1 for 2tb of total storage knowing that write speeds were slow, but can honestly say write speeds are not that bad, and read speeds are awesome.
