Maybe THATS why they call it green. I have to bury mine after only a year. Large capacity for a good price, but has NONE of the reliability of a regular SSD. Spend the extra for a better model.

I bought two of them. One disk failed almost immediately. The second one just failed, in a really bad way. Even SMART monitor tools cannot access its electronics. It lasted about 2 years. 1/3 of what Seagate SSHD disks of the same size have lasted. I have had Seagate SSHD disks serve me faithfully for 5.8-6 years, 24/7 as opposed to these junk WDC makes in Malaysia.

Does not come with required wires/connections. Does not specify this anywhere except in the instruction manual (which you see after you have purchased.)

Easy setup, fast, and only twice the price of a hard drive for the same storage.

If you are a person who is a gamer or a video producer, streamer, studio or audio producer or a person who does a lot with photo and video, Green drives arent for you. This is meant to be an energy efficient device and not made to handle the demands that you have. Who is it meant for? Every other type of computer user. If youre into one of the above mentioned things, look to the Blue or preferably the Black drives and not energy efficient drives. Cheaper will not always suit you and thats the case here. Item was installed on my notebook, but it lasted only 1 month. This is the first product (in 10 years) that I bought and it got damaged. Took to 3-4 places for repair, nobody could some issue with chipset
