> 24 hourBought this hoping to add life to my aging Mac Pro (4,1 flashed to 5,1), but drive was not recognized. Replaced with a Sabrent that was recognized immediately. Cant evaluate performance beyond that.

> 24 hourReally disappointing speeds. Nowhere near as advertised, and most definitely not worth the premium over a sata ssd.

> 24 hourThis was my first time purchasing and installing one of these hard drives and it was quite easy to install. As prices goes they are economical though I wouldnt complain if they were cheaper. Wish if WD would include the M2 screws with the HD. Luckily this was a new build and LGA 1200 Motherboard package had screws.

> 24 hourFirstly, this drive is mainly for the average users who wants a huge boost coming from HD or SSD to NVME. Although it is dram-less and may have slower TLC write speeds than its predecessors, does it matter that much to you? The WD SN550 is a very decent drive with excellent (not high end) speeds and relatively reliable with 5-year warranty. I replaced my Samsung 960 nvme 250gb unit with the 1tb sn550 and no regrets at all. Booting up the PC may have been slower by 1-2 seconds but if your computer boots up within 15 seconds, the 1-2 seconds do not matter that much. All I am saying is that it is fast enough for the average user who is looking to gain a lot of storage without sacrificing much of the speed difference. With new PCs only containing 1 storage slots, this is the best value you can get.
