> 3 dayWorking on an ASRock a320m/ac motherboard from an iBuyPower Win10 machine. NEEDED It does not come with any mobo screws or spacers. Luckily I had the ultra thin tiny screw for the spacer that was already on the mobo. (From previous builds). So if you dont have any motherboard screws you might want to buy an assortment of screws and spacers. I didnt have to do anything in bios. Its plug and play. Open disk manager and initialize the disk, then partition a volume which will format the thing and youll choose a drive letter and/or name for it. If name doesnt pop up right click the new volume and look for properties or similar to rename. The final volume was like 930GB jsyk. Would have hoped it was closer to 1TB. No idea why the NVMe needs 70gb? Ah well. Just letting you know what to expect.

> 3 dayAfter using it for 4 months on my Razer blade laptop, it suddenly didnt start again. The PC went directly to the BIOS but it showed as if it recognized it normally. But it would never boot back again. Swapped it to a desktop PC and it appeared as if the entire disk was formatted. I had two partitions configured and none could be recovered. I tried to use data recovery tools and was unsuccessful. Practically somehow after working perfectly fine the SSD was completely formatted, erasing all my important data and all I did was reboot my pc. I will never trust WD again.

> 3 dayThis drive worked great. I put it on a internal card and formatted it, and it was good to go. Very zippy, very easy to put in. I did get a card with a heat sink, since heat is the enemy of computers. I expect this to hold up well, and Western Digital has been our go-to drive preference for many, many years. Very pleased with this drive. Let Amazon donate to your favorite charity! Greater than one weekThe install slot was hidden under its anodized aluminum cooling block and as this was my first build in about 6 years, there have been MANY changes to hardware (everything has changed! lol!) and install methods since then. Ended up watching several (IMHO) long winded but well structured YouTube HOW-TO videos to glean the proper information. One of which actually showed using the tiny brass half-nut screw to support the far end of this SSD (which was what I needed to know), as the kit I purchased, turned out to be missing this half-nut screw. I was sure there had to be some sort of fixture to secure the SSD in place. After applying the non-conductive cooling mat on top of a small appliance below the SSD install location I was then able to install the SSD in its slot which is when I started to wonder how youre supposed to lock down the far end of the SSD? (the missing hardware). Once you figure all this out you use two screws to lock the fancy looking anodized aluminum-cooling bar, back over the SSD. Not knowing any of this in advance, and with the kit missing the hardware to properly secure the loose end of the SSD made this more challenging (and frustrating, and time consuming) than was necessary. MUCH better instructions in-box and online would have made this whole day-long ordeal, a 20 minute job. Shame on all the manufacturers for not adding better BASIC documentation... You should NOT have to spend HOURS sifting through %#*!!^$ YouTube videos to find simple installation information. OR, to discover the reason you can not figure out HOW to finish the install... Is because the kit is missing an absolutely necessary piece of hardware. Easy to install? I would give 5 stars if this kit had not been missing the brass half-nut screw. There was NO reference to that nut in the instructions that I am aware of or could find. I only discovered this by watching like the 5th or 6th long winded YouTube video... like 2 or three hours later! needless to say, I was not happy. Once it was all figured and installed, it works great! 1TB operating system SSD and its QUICK! Win 10 Pro loads up with everything in about 30 sec! This is a fantastic SSD and works LIGHTENING FAST! Could not be happier with the product in THIS respect! But getting there was a nasty learning experience I do not want to repeat any time soon. lol would have been 5 stars but for the missing part and absolute crap instructions.

> 3 dayNot 5 stars as there isnt any cloning software or screws that come with. Otherwise a great drive with great speeds did have to adjust some bios settings just for my mobo to read it.

> 3 dayI bought this as a dedicated C drive for me desktop. It is replacing a 120Gb SATA SSD. Wow, what a difference. My PC already booted up fast. Now it is even faster with this M.2. I highly recommend this product.

03-06-2025My old HP from Costco literally took 10 minutes to boot but after installing this (5 minute job) it now takes 15 seconds to a usable desktop.
